We just returned from a week in Barcelona. We stayed in a superior room because I had read the standards are small, and most negatives here are from those who stayed in the standards. The room was on the small side by US standards, but I would say average for European. We had a queen bed and thought it was... more

Inglaterra was an average hotel with a great location. Because this was an anniversary trip, I decided to spring for one of the special "suites"--we stayed in the Dali suite on the sixth floor which had it's own private "terrace." I had to admit that I was not terribly impressed with the room...the size was only average and the terrace... more

The best thing about this hotel is the location-within walking distance of so many great Barcelona sites and restaurants- and the very good breakfast offerings that came with the room. The staff is attentive and helpful. What was very dissappointing is first, we asked seven months ahead for a room on a high floor-with hopefully less noise- and got one... more

Well situated near “the Ramblas”, restaurants, and transportation. Room was clean with a charming balcony. Room was small, which is typical European size. Staff was friendly and helpful (particularly Maribel). Great place to stay. more

Spent 4 nights altogether, both before and after cruise. Very convenient to The Ramblas and City bus Tour starting point. Very friendly and helpful reception people when checking in and asking for directions, restaurant suggestions, etc. Rooms are typical European size, comfortable beds, clean, well appointed bathrooms. The full breakfast buffet was excellent. Internet connection at computer station was available... more

I was disappointed when I first saw our room at the hotel - after about 15 hours traveling to get to Barcelona, I was in the mood for the spacious comfort of a 5 star hotel, not the little room with no view that greeted my eyes. But . . . the bed was comfortable, the shower terrific with great... more

The hotel is a great value because it is located very near the Ramblas and Catanalunya Plaza which is where the tour buses, metro and many big restaurants are. The street is very quiet at night and you cannot hear a thing. We had a quite large twin bed room (307), spotlessly clean which had a small balcony with doors... more

Hands down worst hotel experience to date. In short, my room did not have a safe, my iTouch (a cross between an iPhone and iPod) was stolen while I was out exploring the city, and the staff of Hotel Inglaterra were anything but helpful - they were downright rude. I let them know I'd be writing a review on Trip... more

Dali Room – Would have be nice if the air conditioning worked: We ended a 10 night trip with three days in Barcelona, so I decided I wanted to splurge for a nice room. After a lot of research, I decided on Hotel Inglaterra; it had great reviews. I booked the Dali Room at 249 Euro per night (about US$360/night),... more
