The upside- The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The location is great for the tourist sites. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. The downside- the wifi is horrific- if like me you have any work to do requiring downloads or streaming it is impossible the connection is dire. I spoke to reception about this and was told it... We've stayed at a number of hotels in Barcelona. We had pleasant memories of a stay a few years ago at the Inglaterra. We decided to return. We weren't disappointed. Jessica greeted us when we arrived from our overnight flight (the hotel is close to one of the airport bus stops). She helped us store our bags until we could... More

The room is very clean, very good bathroom, walking distance to Universitat Metro (MRT) and interesting places such as La Ramblas, old town, restaurants, and stores. The price is not so expensive. Would definitely recommended

Just returned home after a lovely weekend at Hotel Inglaterra. Perfectly located just off Placa Catalunya, minutes walk to La Ramblas. Plenty of bars and restaurants around. Hotel itself was lovely, room was big and quiet. Reception staff nice and friendly. Good breakfast selection. Would definitely recommend.

This hotel was excellent for the price. Modern rooms and interior decor with a large bathroom and very comfortable bed. Street noise was non-existent during our stay. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location couldn't be better, near the Universidad Aerobus stop, Placa Catalunya and of course Las Ramblas. Definitely recommended.

Very nice hotel in an excellent location. Very easy to get there from the airport. The room was lovely, we had a small balcony with a view, nice bathroom, very clean and quiet hotel. I would recommend to everyone looking for a nice value for money hotel in the centre of Barcelona. Las Ramblas was three minutes by feet and... More

The rooms are small, but well equipped. In a city like Barcelona, with so much to see and do, why pay for a large hotel room? The bed is very comfortable, the bathroom is clean, and you're just round the corner from La Rambla and a short stroll to the marina. Plenty of bars and restuarants in the area too.

We got to the hotel via Aerobus (just a few blocks away at the Placa de Catalunya) at 9 AM. The lady at the front desk helped us secure our luggage in their storage room and showed us how to use public transport to get to the Park Guell (bus 24 right at Universitad) and the Sagrada Familia (via Metro).... Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
