Descriptions of this hotel was promising, but the reality was different. I spent an extended weekend with my son in Barcelona. Fortunately we wasn´t there longer, because the room was just enough for a few days residence. The room was really small, storage space ridiculous. Wifi worked, but not when it should have been. And it was very slow. However,... More

Dear Pippi, I would like to thank you for taking the time to leave feedback on your recent stay to the Inlgaterra Hotel. I am, however, very concerned and suprised about the problems you have mentioned in your review. First of, all we apologize for the noise suffered during your stay for the works on the upper floor. As many... More

I want to give this hotel a 3.5 rating (out of 5). The room (I had) was small but decently appointed, more than enough for my needs travelling solo. I thought the free breakfast with my prepaid reservation was awesome, with enough variety selection. Location and hotel staff were excellent as well. My main critique was the hallway noise due... Have just returned from our second visit to this hotel and will certainly back again. Great location is always a key factor when we book a hotel and being 2mins walk from the Aerobus stop, 2mins from the metro & 2mins from the Ramblas is about as good as it gets. Breakfast is a buffet but the hot plates are... More

The hotel has a great location, near the Catalunya square and a good noise insolation. The reception staff was also good. When we arrived, our bathroom was superficially cleaned, having hair and a scale on a tap. The room is also very small, with a small bed. The breakfast was mediocre, without any organic food offer. All in all, I... More

We spent four nights here and were quite satisfied with the room, though it wasn't very big. Clean room, comfortable beds, a spacious wardrobe and well working wi-fi. It would have been nice with tea/coffee facilities in the room, but that was a minor problem. Great location close to everything. Don't look forward to a real pool at the roof... More

We spent three nights here during our trip to Catalunia. Hotel faces a busy street but we did not experience any noise issues. Breakfast lounge was in a dingy basement without any windows and food was mediocre.

Hotel Inglaterra is well situated for Plaza Catalunya where the airport Aerobus drops off. Also central to pick up the tourist buses, great for getting around Barcelona. It is also just off the top of the Ramblas & within walking distance of the Gothic Quarter, Cathedral, shops & restaurants. It is a bit shabby, but the friendly staff & breakfast make... More

Small room for two people, room 112 a little shabby could do with updating. Great location for Las Ramblas. No tea or coffee making in the room. Staff very helpful even when our TV didn't work fixed the next day.

We've stayed twice at this small hotel a couple of blocks off the Ramblas for its convenient, central location. The rooms are small-ish but attractive and comfortably appointed, and the price is quite good for the area, particularly if you book ahead. For a few euros more a night, you can opt for a room with a small balcony, which... More

Excellent location, within walking distance of Catalunya where the bus drops you off from the Airport. Booked with breakfast included which was excellent. A lot of choice. Stayed in Room 105 which had a small terrace. Room was very comfortable & well decorated with mini-bar. Bathroom facilities were great. Don't think I would use the outdoor pool though. Would definitely... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
