Stayed here for a 2 night trip 2 weeks ago. The 'upgraded' room was nothin much more than a room with a running machine in it ?!! Helpful staff. V v noisy room - at the side of the hotel. We were woken up about 2am until 5am and that's after being comatosed after a day on the beer!

We stayed here and the area was very nice. Dino Mat across the street that served cheap delicious breakfast. The chocolate pastry was amazing. The Metro was right in front of the door so traveling the city was easy. Las Ramblas was a short walking distance, but far away enough that we didn't have to deal with the noise.

Just got back with my wife and two children 4 & 2 from a weekend break in Barcelona. After looking for a hotel very close to Las Ramblas(I've been twice before with friends) I decided to chose the Tyrp Apolo as its 5 minute walk to the Ramblas!
