Stayed for 2 nights after our cruise. Arrived on a Sunday so most of the shops were closed. Hotel down a narrow street where there is a lot of grafitti, which was a little off putting. The hotel is situated 2 minutes walk from La Rambla so basically the main street is just around the corner. However, the hotel location is very quiet at night. We stayed here for 2 nights in September. The location is fantastic being in the Gothic quarter and right off the Ramblas. But the room was a pretty tight-average size and very little bureau space for clothes. I would classify the hotel as being a business hotel in character. Not much in ambiance. Main feature is the friendly and helpful staff.. also great location, room while not overly large was very clean, nice wooden floor and couple of nice touches, with brandy being delivered to room complimentry. Also on leaving we left something in safe, they sent it by taxi to the port withing 20mins great honest service. more

My husband and I stayed at the NH Duc de la Victoria while in Barcelona. We were very happy with it. It has a great location, just off La Rambla in the Barri Gotic, close to Placa Catalunya.
