The Duc de la Victoria is a comfortable and pleasant hotel. Decent rooms and amenities, good service, excellent value for money (though we went August which is a bit cheaper in Barcelona as its so hot and some locals leave). The breakfast was very good, lots of selection both hot and cold, yummy pastries! We couldn't use the bar as... more

In a nutshell: The hotel is perfectly located in a small steet in the gothic quarter, 50m from La Rambla and a 100m from placa Catalunya, very close to the old Cathedral and shopping areas. The rooms were fine. not very big, but clean. Be sure to book rooms that are wathcing the street and not the inner court, which... more

Very good hotel, friendly staff pointed me to extraordinary restaurants. Only bad thing is that I left the hotel in a rush and didn't notice they'd charged an inexistent mini-bar consumption. more

I don't know how this place can call itself a business hotel just because it had an internet connection. There's no trouser press in the room and there is no iron available. Well actually there is but there's no ironing board you have to, and I quote 'lay a towel on the floor'. Other sentences in this conversation included, 'You... more

Quiet street off La Ramblas near Bari Gothic, just round corner from Cathedral so central for everything - including aerobus & bus tours. Not a better location in our view! Room was modern and clean with balcony. Breakfast was great - buffet style with lots of choice. Plus could order additional items such as poached eggs. Staff friendly, efficient and... more

I am not going to outline all the positive things about this hotel as these have already been done in previous reviews. I will say however that the location is perfect. If you stay here you are in the centre of everything. I would recommend breakfast in the Boqueria. You could spend hours in here. Go to the food bar... more

We stayed in room 129, one room away from elevator, back side of Hotel, ultra quiet. Our first visit to Barcelona, wonderful city. You can go anowhere from the Catalunya Plaza, 3 short blocks from hotel. We stayed 11 nights, split by 3 days; day one Carccassonne, day 2 in Cadaques and day 3 in a b&b 57euros! in Pubol.... more

Every night the air conditioning automatically got turned off at 2 AM. My travel alarm clock has a thermometer built in, and the temperature in the room rose to 76 degrees by early morning. We tried opening the window, but it did not help. When you are a woman in your 50's, you are hot all the time as it... more

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights prior to cruise. After much research on TA, decided to stay at this hotel mainly for location and value (found online deal with breakfast for 91E/nt). Hotel is located on a quiet side street off La Rambla. Requested a high floor and ended up with 2 of the 3 rooms with balconies on... more

Lovely small hotel, beautifully located in a pedestrian zone a short walk from La Rambla. We were able to walk or take the Metro all over the city. more
