Couldn't believe how well we did with this hotel. Near to the aerobus, centre of barcelona, one street from the ramblas. Clean and friendly. Breakfast buffet was excellent but we only did that the first morning as lots of places to gave breakfast and watch the world go by. Amazingly quiet hotel considering location until you open a window but... More

Great location--but noisy sometimes late at night. Breakfast room was very nice. Nice selection of food. The staff was very helpful and responsive. We would consider staying there again even though it was an older building in an older part of town.

I have stayed in multiple NH hotels and they never disappoint. Always with incredible service, luxurious beds and bedding, and the best breakfast to start your day. Although the breakfast is a bit on the steep side (14 euro a person/day) it is delicious and all you can eat ( and there's even wine and champagne, fresh juices, gluten free... More

Best is the location, in the Gothic area, five minutes walk to The Cathedral and to Placa Cathalunya. We also appreciated the breakfast, with several sorts of bread, fruits, cheese and so on. The receptionists were very helpful, f ex when we needed support in buying tickets to Segrada Familia on-line.

The hotel is on a quiet street, yet near the center of the city. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The breakfast bar was unbelievable. There was a wide variety of food to choose from and it was very good. The room was smallish (but that is typical in Europe). Couldn't get the TV to work, though. But that... More

Price for this Hotel was slightly cheaper than other NH in the Area. First time in Barcelona, When I got there I was honestly concerned, those streets looked too narrow and I thought they looked not safe. I was wrong, the area was as safe as any other in the city. I got there hauling my luggage, the Taxi left... More

My wife, teenage son and I stayed five nights at NH Barcelona Centro at the end of March…Great! Located in the heart of the city-the hotel is quiet, clean, comfortable. We had an inside facing mini-suite on the top floor which had plenty of room, comfortable beds and nice sized bathroom. The price / value seemed excellent. The nice people... More

Stayed at the NH Centro as part of a Rick Steves tour. Location was perfect. Right between the Plaza Catalunya and El Born and Barri Gotik neighborhoods. A block off the main drag, so quiet. Quick walk to the Cathedral where, on Sundays, you can watch folks dancing the Sardana and hear great Catalan music. A few blocks away are... More

I have stayed only for few days on my business trip and was nicely suprised of plenty of healthy food during breacfast and lunch. Weighing-machine before entry the breacfast room reminds to think what and how much you are going to eat :). Perfect wifi, perfect location, staff and rooms.

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
