This hotel desserves a 4*, really. A the very center of Barcelona (Ramblas, Barrigothic, Pl Catalunya), the facility is quiet. We enjoyed the room, not that so big, but very functional and enough for 2. And the breakfast (optional) was awesome!

We paid £60/night for a double room here for 2 nights in January, which for the location and room was very good. We didn't bother with breakfast at the hotel, which at €15/person, was far more expensive than eating out or what we did was bought bread, fruit, cheese and cold meats at the Mercat de la Boqueria (5 mins... We got this recommendation from Rick steves book and then Trip advisor. It was an amazing location!!!!!! The room is small but what city hotel room isnt? We had a plate fruit waiting in our room when we arrived. Very yummy after long flight! The room had a great view and was quite at night. We only stayed for one... More

Staff really useful, knowledgeable and helpful in telling us of local bus and Metro information. Really helpful, even when the tv was broken they fixed it in the hour we went out..brilliant. Bed out of this world, amazing quality, a huge double bed. Bathroom had black dirt on corners of the bath, so not very good at cleaning, the domestics.... More

Really easy to find this hotel from Plaça de Catalunya - 5 minute walk. In very central location. Hotel is clean and has everything you'd need. Room was quiet and comfortable, excellent value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We spent 6 nights at the hotel. We had two rooms so we were able to compare features and drawbacks of the rooms. Both rooms were similar. First, one of the most annoying things about the room was the small size of the bathrooms and the layout of the bathrooms. The door stop on the floor was right beside the... More

I arrived at this hotel late evening without my bags courtesy British Airways. Jordi at the front desk made me feel at ease, offering me toothbrush and toothpaste etc. and telling me that I will get all the help and information possible. Next day, when the BA phones were not being answered and online info was not being updated, Laura... More

A hotel with all the amenities (apart from pool) that you need for a long weekend in Barcelona. Friendly, fast and professional service from check-in to room service. Large bathrooms (for Europe) and a very tasty breakfast.

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
