Just returned after spending 5 nights here, I found the hotel staff great to deal with, We arrived early and was allowed to store our cases till our room was ready, we went for a wonder and when we returned our room was ready for us. Wanted more from a 4 star hotel, nothing great. Service was average, asked for scissors from the front desk and had to go down for them... for me this is not 4 star service. Free internet and 2 computer available was a plus. Pool was average, solarium a bit uncomfortable. more

yes, the central location does make for more noise. but I have stayed on major streets in the big cities in the USA and the noise is the same! everything was perfect, we loved the hotel, loved Barcelona, but did not have enough time there to try out the pool.
