Rooms are right in the centre and so really easy to get around, or just walk around. Bit noisy at night when people feel free to bang doors or talk in the corridors but the people at the desk are really good. We pegged our visit to Barcelona to coincide with a three day/night non stop row our son was... More

The hotel is in a perfect location, is very nice and very clean but the service was terrible since the staff was extremely rude at times and we really did not appreciate their treatment. Still nice though.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. However, we are unable to rate it as a 5 due to one extremely rude staff member, Jose (tall, thin, black hair, wears glasses, in 30s, and has one squinty eye). Good points: - Location is perfect - The food is delicious - Very clean - Great shower & water pressure - Reasonably quiet Weakness:... More

A well situated hotel, excellent for site seeing and the sea front. Owners very friendly. I wouldn't bother eating in the restaurant as it lacks atmosphere and costumers. You will wait ages to be served, several people walked out rather than wait any longer for their food. You also wont get your free tapas, as promised on arrival. Breakfast was... More

The location is literally just off La Rambla so was perfect for our sightseeing! The staff within the hotel were brilliant; giving us maps and advice etc and the breakfast was great value in the morning. We were never really in the room and only used it for sleeping and showering. If that's the only reason you want a room... More

I had a wonderful time at this hotel. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The room had good air conditioning and perfect wifi. I was in a single room but the bathroom was immaculate and surprisingly big. The location was perfect - I could walk to everything (Las Ramblas, beach, metro, etc.) I would... More

We have spent 9 nights at the Hotel Adagio and were in the middle of everything. It lies very close to the Rambla and the Metro. Many nice little streets for shopping, the seaside and the cathedreal or the market are in walking distance. If you like walking a bit, you can also reach Gaudi's Sightseeings by foot, and go... We've spent 10 wonderful and unforgettable days in Hotel Adagio. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful and spoilt us with excellent haute-cuisine food! It was a pleasure! We even were invited for a delicious Welcome-Tapa at the first evening! The hotel is very familiar and clean, located in the centre of Barcelona, from where you reach many sightseeings within walking... More

Room was fine - small, but it's not as is you're going to spend too much time in the room! The whole place was very clean. The location is great - central and close to everything - BUT this does means the rooms that overlook the street are pretty noisy, and the noise goes on until very late (all night... More

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
