The location is literally just off La Rambla so was perfect for our sightseeing! The staff within the hotel were brilliant; giving us maps and advice etc and the breakfast was great value in the morning. We were never really in the room and only used it for sleeping and showering. If that's the only reason you want a room... More

I had a wonderful time at this hotel. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The room had good air conditioning and perfect wifi. I was in a single room but the bathroom was immaculate and surprisingly big. The location was perfect - I could walk to everything (Las Ramblas, beach, metro, etc.) I would... More

We have spent 9 nights at the Hotel Adagio and were in the middle of everything. It lies very close to the Rambla and the Metro. Many nice little streets for shopping, the seaside and the cathedreal or the market are in walking distance. If you like walking a bit, you can also reach Gaudi's Sightseeings by foot, and go... We've spent 10 wonderful and unforgettable days in Hotel Adagio. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful and spoilt us with excellent haute-cuisine food! It was a pleasure! We even were invited for a delicious Welcome-Tapa at the first evening! The hotel is very familiar and clean, located in the centre of Barcelona, from where you reach many sightseeings within walking... More

Room was fine - small, but it's not as is you're going to spend too much time in the room! The whole place was very clean. The location is great - central and close to everything - BUT this does means the rooms that overlook the street are pretty noisy, and the noise goes on until very late (all night... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at Hotel Adagio for 3 nights last week. It's a very short walk from the Liceu metro station which was extremely convenient in getting to in the first place and travelling to sights like the Park Guell which are a bit out of the city. The hotel itself is located extremely well for shops, restaurants... More

Hotel Adagio is in a perfect location in the city. Me and two friends stayed in the hotel for 4 nights and were very happy with the room, facilities and free WiFi. The staff at the hotel were fantastic and helped us plan our trip, they gave us maps and discounts for the places we wanted to go. One of... More

Stayed here for 4 nights and was very pleasant. You cannot ask for a better location as the metro station is a two minute walk away as well as the Rambla. The man on reception was amazing and recommended places to go as well as giving us a free welcome tapa voucher for the restaurant! The room was clean and... More

Value for you money. For the Money you get a good hotel in middle of Barcelona. Few meters from the Rambla and in the entry to the old part of the city and no noise from the street. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful.

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
