Location was perfect, close to all the shops, restaurants and bars and clubs. Was a very short walk to the metro station and Port as well. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Helped with any questions we had, and also if we requested some more room amenities, or to book services for us. Breakfast was great, alot of variety.... More

This hotel has a great location - close to almost everything you should see when you are in this awesome city. We walked around the city for one week and that is a great way to get to know a place. Ask for a room in a floor high up and you get a fantastic view. Avoid room 206 :)... More

Dear Ase k, Thank you very much for writing some comments on Tripadvisor. On our website you have the possibility to choose different kind of roomtypes. Some of these rooms are situated in the center of the hotel, like room 206 These rooms do not have an exterior view, but especially in high season and during the weekends some of... More

The location of this hotel is excellent. Right in the middle of La Rambla next to all the main restaurants and shops. UNfortuantely the hotel was very average. The only good thing about the hotel were the staff who were extremely helpful with regards to things to do in Barcelona, tips and advice. The lady concierge also helped us change... More

Dear amy_leia, Thank you so much for your comments on Tripadvisor. Your opinion is very important to us. We are sorry to read that you did not like the room on the 4th floor, though it would have been a possibility to request a roomchange at the frontdesk. We always try to change rooms in case our clients do not... More

Our room (805) on the 8th floor had a terrace and a view of Gaudi's ceramic chimneys on Palau Guell - as well as washing lines. The superb location on Las Ramblas street compensated for missing essentials. It would seem very easy to have an iron and ironing board available as well as a kettle. (We were able to get... More

This is by far the worst hotel we have stayed in for this or any previous trips. Air conditioning was not working in the first room we were in & only lightly in the second. Wifi as advertised as free is non existent unless you are in the right spot & that was not in the rooms. The cleaning was... More

Dear 2pinkduck, I am sorry to read that your stay in our hotel has not been satisfied, after reading your complaints i suppose you needed a 5 star hotel. At the moment Barcelona is suffering a heatwave and the temperature is rising up to 35 degrees. Due to that it takes longer to refresh the room with cool air but... More

This hotel is very comfortable near the center, I really liked the menu, and the rates are very accessible. This hotel has been recommended by a couple of friends saying it is in heart of Catalonia. Great to spend a few days.

We were very disappointed with our stay at the Hotel Ramblas. We stayed at the beginning of July, and knowing that it would be hot, air conditioning was one of our major considerations. When we arrived to our room, we found that there was a vent that blew cool-ish air in one spot, but it definitely didn't cool the entire... More

Hotel Ramblas is conveniently located. It is along Ramblas where many restaurants and shops are. The size of the room is good but it's very dark. The most awful thing about the room is the bathroom. The shower has no divider and the water overshoots the space where the water should go. Drainage is also bad so most of the... More

I stayed here for four days on first arriving in Spain and nearly went mad staying here! This is not a good place to recover from jet lag. The room was shabby, the room key stopped working twice and I had 1 hot shower out of 4! This place needs a spruce up! Our window looked onto a slum like... More

Me and my wife stayed in Hotel Ramblas for 3 nights in June 2015. Our stay was very pleasant overall. The staff were helpful and friendly, the hotel seemed clean and breakfast was ok. Our room was very clean, but quite basic. Not really any luxuries, no English channels on TV (and no remote!). Cant grumble though as this was... More

Staying in La Rambla

Neighborhood Profile
La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-meter boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetizing selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
