This was a great location and very reasonable price. It was not a fancy hotel but we were not willing to pay for a lot of luxuries. The hotel people were extra nice. I stay in a lot of hotels and think this front desk was one of the best. It has a fun bar in the lobby and a... More

Very central !!!! You can walk everywhere! Plus we made a mistake with our reservation and Monica (the reservation manager) fixed it for us with no complications and a smile on her face. Thinks like that make your trip much more relaxed.. Thanks Monica. Angelita

Stayed here for a business conference (Mobile World Congress), which like every hotel in Barcelona during the conference raised its rate by a factor of 4x-6x over normal (capitalism at work). Hotel is 'ok', but, *dated*. It's clean but in need of updating as everything is old (tired, used). Had to pay 2 Euros per day for use of in-room... More

Like the object of the Punch 1895 cartoon (see Wikipedia), this hotel has both good and bad bits. The good includes: Location - outstanding, close to the waterfront Christopher Columbus statue, in the middle of the tourist area of the old town and close to two Metro stations; Bedrooms - mine (Room 601) anyway, with a large balcony area with... Me and my wife spent a week here this January. The hotel is on one of main tourist streets/ roads, it is a hive of activity from 6.00am through to 3.00am take earplugs if you want 8 hours sleep. A good hotel to use as a base to see the city as a lot of the touristy things are within... More

I could not rate this hotel very good, but it is better than average. It is clean and the rooms are basic but acceptable. The breakfast is ok but lacks variety. However, for the price per night and it's location on Las Ramblas it provides value and is convenient to many visitor attractions. There are many restaurants and bars within... More

Stayed here for 3 nights. The rooms are old and dark, but clean and are spacious and have a good sized bathroom. Stayed on the 2nd floor at the front which was very noisy and you could hear the metro underneath, but I had good earplugs so did get some sleep. The staff on reception are very friendly and helpful.... More

Four of us stayed in this hotel and had an amazing time. The hotel itself is a bit old and in need of updating, but the location was perfect! Hotel: The hotel was fairly cheap considering its central location and was not surprised that it looked slightly old. The hotel was always clean though and when travelling that is my... More

Dear Iman T, Thank you very much for your comments on Tripadvisor. We are more than satisfied that your opinion about our hotel is positive. It is true that on the frontside of the hotel it can be noisy at night, especially in the weekends. Please be aware that our frontdeskstaff can always try to change your room and offer... More

Staying in La Rambla

Neighborhood Profile
La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-meter boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetizing selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
