Four of us stayed at the beginning of January. We could not fault the location or the service from the staff. Good points - location - you can't fault how central it is & close to the metro station. - room was nicely decorated and comfortable - huge bathroom with bath and large separate shower - large jacuzzi & spa... The hotel is a bit old but the convenience of location make a pleasant stay, and staff is helpful. Stayed over-night for a cruise and the cruise terminal bus is 5 minute walk away. Breakfast is included for a modest price. Can be recommended.

Very noisy during the nights. You can hear all sounds from the floor and the floor above. Can feel the metro moving underground. Some rooms are without windows - how can you live in a room without daylight? The location and breakfast are perfect though, so if you plan not to spent to much time in the hotel - not... More

This is a comfortable 3 Star Hotel in an excellent location. We arrived early (off a cruise boat) and were greeted with friendliness and helpfulness, with our baggage being stored until check in time. The room had a balcony overlooking Las Ramblas and was very spacious. It was obvious that not much money had been spent for some time and... More

Arrived late after a day of travelling, just wanted some sleep. First impressions of the hotel weren't great but the staff member who greeted us was nice. Got to our room and was not at all impressed for the money we had paid. Very very basic. Free wifi was not available in our room and could hear every word coming... More

The Hotel Ramblas is greatly located a 5 minute walk to bustling Plaza Catalonia and the Ramblas, so it's a perfect spot to visit the city. Everything you've got to see is within walking distance. Otherwise, this is rather a generic hotel (not a boutique yet renovated) with plenty of rooms and working bees. I am more fond of intimate... More

Our room was broken into during the first few hours of our stay. We came back and the door was ajar, our luggage all messed up, even the safe was open. our valuables were gone on our first day of our trip! The hotel staff were extremely un-helpful to get the police and find a way to remedy the situation.... More

We had no idea what to expect when we arrived at this hotel. The desk staff was so nice and accommodating and showed us to our room right away. When we got to our room, we discovered an enormous outdoor balcony over looking (just feet away) Palau Guell and Gaudi's rooftop sculptures! The staff didn't use this view as an... More

Staying in La Rambla

Neighborhood Profile
La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-meter boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetizing selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
