I could not rate this hotel very good, but it is better than average. It is clean and the rooms are basic but acceptable. The breakfast is ok but lacks variety. However, for the price per night and it's location on Las Ramblas it provides value and is convenient to many visitor attractions. There are many restaurants and bars within... More

Stayed here for 3 nights. The rooms are old and dark, but clean and are spacious and have a good sized bathroom. Stayed on the 2nd floor at the front which was very noisy and you could hear the metro underneath, but I had good earplugs so did get some sleep. The staff on reception are very friendly and helpful.... More

Four of us stayed in this hotel and had an amazing time. The hotel itself is a bit old and in need of updating, but the location was perfect! Hotel: The hotel was fairly cheap considering its central location and was not surprised that it looked slightly old. The hotel was always clean though and when travelling that is my... More

Four of us stayed at the beginning of January. We could not fault the location or the service from the staff. Good points - location - you can't fault how central it is & close to the metro station. - room was nicely decorated and comfortable - huge bathroom with bath and large separate shower - large jacuzzi & spa... The hotel is a bit old but the convenience of location make a pleasant stay, and staff is helpful. Stayed over-night for a cruise and the cruise terminal bus is 5 minute walk away. Breakfast is included for a modest price. Can be recommended.

Very noisy during the nights. You can hear all sounds from the floor and the floor above. Can feel the metro moving underground. Some rooms are without windows - how can you live in a room without daylight? The location and breakfast are perfect though, so if you plan not to spent to much time in the hotel - not... More

Dear Kaloyanf, We would like to thank you for your comments about our hotel on Tripadvisor. We feel sorry for the fact that you had problems with the noise at night from upper and lower floors in the hotel. Our hotel is an old building and because of that it can be noisy sometimes. This is a comfortable 3 Star Hotel in an excellent location. We arrived early (off a cruise boat) and were greeted with friendliness and helpfulness, with our baggage being stored until check in time. The room had a balcony overlooking Las Ramblas and was very spacious. It was obvious that not much money had been spent for some time and... More

Arrived late after a day of travelling, just wanted some sleep. First impressions of the hotel weren't great but the staff member who greeted us was nice. The Hotel Ramblas is greatly located a 5 minute walk to bustling Plaza Catalonia and the Ramblas, so it's a perfect spot to visit the city. Everything you've got to see is within walking distance. Otherwise, this is rather a generic hotel (not a boutique yet renovated) with plenty of rooms and working bees. I am more fond of intimate... More

Staying in La Rambla

Neighborhood Profile
La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-meter boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetizing selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
