We stayed here for one week while visiting Barcelona. Good Points: Central location, with easy access to the Metro. Good options for eating out. Rooms are clean and functional. Roof top bar was great for relaxing. Staff were friendly. Bad Points: No noise proofing between rooms (you could hear everything in the bathroom!!). Wifi didn't work at all for half... More

This hotel was a big disappointment. I stayed there 4 nights. The room was small, noisy and with no windows! Their wifi worked only the 2nd half of the stay and was not usable: it constantly disconnected. The location is pretty central, but you can definitely get a better hotel in that area for a little less money. I do... More

We've just got back from spending 4 nights at the America Hotel and will definitely be going back. We arrived at 9.45am on a Sunday morning so we were very prepared to drop off our bags and wait to check in in the afternoon. Instead, we received a very warm welcome from the friendly folk on reception and were told... More

Spent 7 nights here, 2 adults and 13 year old in one room. 'Sofa' bed turned out to be a wood slat base bed with a proper mattress. Initial confusion around the bed missing from our room on arrival dealt with humour and finding the bed by the hotel staff. Third bed in room left it a little tight but... More

We stayed at the hotel America in the beginning of July for a girls weekend away to celebrate a 40th birthday. Really warm friendly welcome offered, quick check in and a great spacious room given. Modern feel very clean and comfortable, breakfast was good and a lot of choice. Perfect location for getting around the city and not to far... More

This hotel does not deserve its four stars. The wifi does not work in rooms, you have to go downstairs near the reception or outside your room to get some wifi. The swimming pool does not look that great and if you go there in July, you cannot even hang out by the pool; there are not enough chairs. Nevertheless,... More

I stayed here for three nights and I generally liked the hotel. But I think there are some little problems that could be solved, like night-noises and restaurant's speed. I waited one hour almost to eat and I ordered just one plate. I had some problems to fall asleep too, but these things don't hurt hotel's services so much. I... More

We stayed her for nearly a week and we had a lovely time. The rooftop bar is definitely the best part of this hotel, although the very friendly staff come a very close second. We had a basic room which was very small but perfectly adequate since we didn't spend much time in it anyway. Every chance we had we... More

Great Location. Very helpful and friendly staff. No problem with things being stolen, as mentioned by other reviews, (our room had a safe, so we put any valuables in there). Our one moan would be the lack of sound proofing in the rooms. We heard everything that went on in the room next to us, and had the unpleasant smell... More

The main reason why we chose this Hotel was because other family members had booked a room there and it was decided to join them at relative short notice for a get together We had booked 3 nights at the America and after having read some of the reviews, I was a bit weary as to what expect. This in... More
