I came for a week of work and was suprised by this small hotel and its centeral location. Just minutes away from Gaudi's buildings and the subway. From the hotel you can just walk out and enjoy the city. The pool and Jacuzzi on the roof are good rest for you feet when comming back. When I stayed at the... More

We only stayed one night, while waiting from other accomation to became avilable but we're glad it was no longer. The staff are great and friendy but the hotel is very worn and dated. I expected more for $230 Euro a night .Room service food was just edible. Our room was quite noisy but not from the outside, from the... More

This is a great base for exploring Barcelona. It's in a largely residential area, with lots of nice cafes and shops nearby, but within 2 mins walk of the Metro and 6 minutes from the posh shops of Passeig de Gracia. It's also within walking distance of most of Barcelona's extensive gay nightlife. Our room was fine, clean and with... More

my partner and I stayed here for 4 nights. The majority of the staff were most helpful and pleasant...the odd one rude and slightly obnoxious. Express breakfast no frills granted but perfect start to the day. The room was clean, quiet and excellent. The roof top bar was exactly what was needed after the days activities. The cost was excellent... More

This welcoming and comfortable hotel is perfectly situated for exploring Barcelona and is in one of the more upmarket and sought after addresses in the city. The staff were helpful and charming and made our five-day stay an absolute pleasure. Our third floor room was comfortable and quiet - our only complaint that the air conditioning was not turned on... Have stayed here several times before. It's a good location, good staff and has nice, stylish rooms. I will certainly opt for it again next time. However, it seemed to be expensive this time, for over €150/night there are certainly comparable options. What really grates though is the 'Express' breakfast this price included. Walking into the restaurant, a nice buffet... More

My wife and I stayed here 10-14th March for a citybreak booked through easyjet holidays. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Xabbi on the check in desk made us laugh every day.Breakfast was great, plenty of fruit and quality creals/yoghurts to choose from plus some hot foood. We were given a very detailed map on our check in,which we used... More

we have just got back from a three night stay at Hotel America and can't wait for an excuse to go back. The staff were extremely helpful giving advice on bus sightseeing tours (which are fab) and producing a "free of charge" travel plug without any hesitation when we realised we'd forgotten ours, most hotels would sell you one at... Have just returned from a few nights away with the girls and had a fantastic time in the Hotel America, definitely pleased we picked this one! From check in to check out the reception staff were fantastic and couldnt do enough to help us. Room was spotlessly clean and plenty big enough for the 3 of us. Breakfast was lovely,... More

Stayed at the Hotel America for a 3 night break with British Airways. Nothing bad to report on this hotel at all; in fact if returning to Barcelona, would be quite happy to stay here again, because of its location. The rooms are perhaps slightly smaller than one would expect and no balcony, but perfectly adequate. Room came with large... More
