I stayed here for 3 nights/4 days with my boyfriend. The hotel is located in a really nice part of the city (it's quieter here than on the main streets) and a 5 minute walk will bring you to a metro station, which I would thoroughly recommend using to get around. The hotel breakfast is wonderful, with lots of different... More

We stayed at this hotel, me and my 11-year old son, during a long weekend spent in Barcelona. The good things about this hotel are - Location. It's situated on walking distance from the city center and in a nice and calm area of the city. It is also easy to get to from the airport. You can walk here... More

I stayed at Hotel America for 5 nights at the end of March. Easy Jet were offering a flight and hotel (+ breakfast) package at competitive prices and I was swayed by Hotel America's location and amenities. Overall I wasn't disappointed. Upon arrival we found out that the terrace (and pool area) was closed for refurbishment. This was a bit... More

We and another couple stayed for a 3 night mid-week break at the hotel, the hotel is in a good location, approximately 15min walk to the heart of the Ramblers or a short taxi drive away, there is a taxi bay outside th hotel. The walk is flat, no up hill either way if walking & there are many bars,... More

The hotel is nice and modern and we were very pleased with our room and view over the crossroads. The reception staff were exceptionally helpful, for which we are very grateful. The rooftop pool looked lovely but unfortunately it was too cold for us to go in. The location was good but still a walk from some of the main... More

Went with friends for three nights. Very good value for money deal including breakfast. Staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. A little quieter location than being bang in the centre but still easy walking distance to everything. Main Meto station on the next corner was brilliant for getting around. Just a tiny bit tired to be a... More

We stayed there last October, it was a lovely stay. Shame the weather wasn't warmer as we could have enjoyed the pool more. Balcony pool area was nice, the room was fine and clean. The best things about the hotel for us was the area. Excellent location, close to some of the Gaudi works. Great hotel, would be fab in... More

The location really helps, near of two subway lines. The room was confortable, silent, with a good shower. The staff are attentive and stand available to provide any information or direction. There are good restaurants very near the hotel, to have dinner after a long day walking around Barcelona.

We stayed here in August 2014 and returned with friends in February. We were welcomed back like friends - the staff here are lovely. Our rooms were on the 6th floor and were ready when we arrived - around midday. I'd ordered wine to celebrate a birthday and this was also awaiting us. We took the bottle and headed up... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
