Honestly could not say a bad word about Hotel America, Barcelona! Was there in July 2015 with two friends and stayed in a double room with a double bed and sofa bed! Large spacious rooms which are spotless and cleaned every day! More than enough room for three adults and the bathroom had a great bath/shower and was very clean!... More

Cannot recommend this hotel more! It's in a great location, walking distance of shops, restaurants, la pedrera, and diagonal metro stop. There is a taxi stop just outside the doors. The staff are all friendly and very helpful, they gave us advice on the best restaurants to visit and even booked some of our excursions for us at reduced rates... More

For the price we paid, i think a number of things must be addressed by this hotel. The housekeeping was never done as well as other hotels, upon checkin our bathroom toilet was covered in dust and the shower taps were greasy. One night a couple on our floor began fighting and screaming, while very drink. They kept slamming doors... More

The location of this hotel is simply wonderful. This was my first time to Europe, and Barcelona was the first stop along our adventure! Having no true geographical knowledge of Barcelona, booking this hotel was a true blessing! It is nestled in Catalonia, a lovely little area within the city. We were walking distance away from local eateries and shops... More

This is the first time that I've ever written a hotel review, but felt like I really had to here. We stayed for 4 nights In June for my partner's 30th birthday. The hotel itself is lovely, very clean and modern. The room is big, bed comfy and the air conditioning is great. The roof top is fantastic and really... More

My wife and I had a nice stay for 3days very clean and tidy room and comfortable bed.Very good location and handy for attractions the only downside we went to the roof top for something to eat which was really poor one evening. The breakfast was fine and would recommend this hotel.

We have just come back from a 4 night stay at the Hotel America. The hotel itself is very clean and well decorated. Our room was spacious and had a nice view. The pool area was small but relaxing as well as clean and tidy. The hotel's location is a short walk from some key attractions and close to lots... More

I cannot express enough how wonderful this hotel is - not just the hotel, but the staff. First, let me say, it's in an excellent area - walking distance to the metro, La Pedrera, and Casa Batlló, and is in L'Eixample. The rooms are lovely, clean, and nice. The staff was AMAZING. they became like family to me (I stayed... More

Hotel is located in a great area enabling visitors to get a real feel for the city. It's located within walking distance to Las Ramblas and the old city as well as easy access to metro station. Staff was exceptionally helpful!! Many great restaurants and other eateries nearby. Beautiful rooftop pool area!! only drawback is the poor wifi connection.

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
