We stayed at Hotel America in a superior room for several nights in November. First of all, the location is excellent. The hotel is close to lots of great restaurants, as well as some famed Gaudi buildings, and the area feels very safe at night. Passeig de Gracia is an exceptional shopping area with restaurants, and it's only a few... More

The staff was very warm and welcoming on our arrival and helped us check in a bit early. They also provided great restaurant recommendations in the neighborhood. The area is within walking distance to all the tourist sites, but a bit removed so you feel like you're in a "real" neighborhood. It's close to shopping and some Gaudi sites. The... More

The superior room was very clean and beautiful, no issues at all in that department. The wifi was an absolute joke though. It seriously disconnected every other minute and became very frustrating as we wanted contact our families on the first day of our honeymoon. I will say though, the front desk was incredibly nice and helped show us how... More

Reasonable location, not in the noisy tourist area, but within walking distance. Lots of bars within easy walking and Metro station only a few blocks away. Room was very clean and plenty big enough, bathroom well equipped and spotless. The TV remote control was a bit hit and miss, but as there was virtually no English channels it was not... More

First some great things, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself and the rooms and bathrooms extremely clean and well looked after. Location great also, personally i don't go for the tourist city centre areas anywhere, so plenty of local small bars and restaurants open late (as they do in Spain) Some minus points, the WiFi was... Nice small hotel, friendly helpful staff. Good location near subway & bus routes. Great breakfast choice which we pre paid. Internet a bit hit & miss. Small pool & bar on roof but nice. Hotel food & drink expensive. The room was fine, clean, few holes in the curtains. We were on 3rd floor & even with windows closed from... More

Our experience of this hotel was very positive. Reception staff were helpful and there was ready and easy access to a laptop to assist with on line booking for tickets to popular sites and for when we needed to check in for our flights home. Our room was 401 and we found it had everything we needed for a pleasant... More

Hotel America was clean with freindly staff and in a great location. The hotel was excellent value for money, wifi, air conditioning, safe and towels for the pool all included. The roof top pool area was a tranquil place to relax after a busy day in the city. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Location, Location, Location. Hotel America is definitely located in the right spot. There are restaurants all around, there is a pool with a bar, Gaudi's designs on apartments is just a short walk. The staff is excellent and very helpful, the breakfast is just right. Fruit, breakfast deserts, cereal, juice, meats, breads.Just right. There is a small workout room downstairs.... More
