Stayed here in early November and was totally satisfied with my stay here. Located right next to La Rambla you couldn't ask for a better location than this!! All modes of public transport are right at your doorstep. Getting here from the airport costs you 30 euros by taxi. Rooms are pretty spacious and clean but only the Air Con... More

The location of this hotel is fantastic- just 1 minute from La Rambla- 20 minutes leisurely walk to the sea. If coming from the airport- don't bother with a taxi (unless you are a group) save 35€ and take the Aerobus- fast (nearly as quick as a taxi- 25 minutes)) comfortable and costs just 5.90€ one way compared to ca.40€... We arrived as a group of 5 in november. The reception was excellent. There were some challanges with the heating as some of the rooms were to cold and some to warm. We did not find out why, but it might be that there are two separate systems. Locationwise it is excellent. Placed right next to the plaza. The wifi... More

The hotel is in a very good position behind Placa de Catalunya and right on the top of La Rambla. You can reach from it on foot some of the most beautiful points of interest of the city. The rooms are quite big and the bathroom too. The gym is almost absent: 1 tapis roulant, 1 cyclette, 1 runner. The... More

Great location near the plaza, which is a hub for Barcelona. Also great was the service. Staff solved one tiny issue we had during our visit, upgraded our room, and provided complimentary Champagne! The front desk also helped to send out my postcards without additional charges. Will definitely visit again when in Barcelona.

We've stayed at a few hotels in Barcelona, and this one was really worth the stay. The hotel was able to accommodate our request for a room on an upper floor, away from the foot traffic. We had a twin room, with terrace. There was plenty of room (two twin beds, side table and chairs, desk and night stand! The... More

Just got back from a great weekend in Barcelona, made all the more enjoyable by the location, facilities and generally high quality of this hotel. Right in the middle of town, some fabulous bars and restaurants are within a short walk in any direction including the famous Ramblas at the southern edge. The metro station and tourist hop on /... We had our first stay in Barcelona at this hotel, three days and two nights. From the minute we stepped into the lobby until our cases were loaded back into our car we were looked after. The staff are brilliant, nothing is too much trouble. The hotel itself is a typical city centre hotel that has been refurbished, but it... More

It´s a good hotel, even if its an older one. Rooms are big enough. Hotel is just a hop away from the Rambla and therefore really good for an night life excursion. Breakfast is outstanding (need to be for 19 EUR), plenty of food to choose. Overall a stay worth and will come again.

We were looking for comfortable hotel in good position, not for a luxury hotel. We stayed here for three nights based on good price, good reviews and most of all the location as it it right at the top of las Ramblas and one minutes walk from where the hop on hop off busses depart from. Our twin Room was... More

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
