We reserved a Rambla-view room and it could not have been better. A 180 degree view of the masses of people who are constantly in motion 20 of 24 hours a day-when we were not out enjoying the city. One block from Placa Catalunya which includes Metro stop, El Corte Ingles, and the Airbus for an easy cheap trip to... More

I have to say Royal Ramblas Hotel exceeded our expectations We were there for 2 nights in May 2015. The room was contemporary, had all the amenities and a view of La Ramblas. The breakfast was over the top with choices of fresh fruits, breads, juices, eggs and coffee. Location could not have been better. I would definitely recommend this... More

Lovely hotel right on Las Ramblas. Bar is poor as it's mainly a restaurant and was nowhere to sit at 10pm. It's very expensive for what it is. We had a lovely view of Las Ramblas. Had tea and coffee facilities in room which is unusual for Spain. Good reception and smelt divine. Probably wouldn't stay here again as didn't... More

Wonderful hotel, staff was exceptional. Location was perfect. We got a good nights rest in the comfy room and enjoyed the breakfast. The lobby was really nice also for having a coffee or using the internet. Really enjoyed our stay, one of the friendliest and most knowledgable hotel staff I have ever witnessed.

Upon arrival on May 9, 2015 - we were promptly greeted and checked in quickly. The rooms were spacious and the bathrooms well appointed. The rooms are sound proof so the noise was non-existent yet we had a wonderful view of Rambals Street. The hotel was booked with transport form the airport and also transport to the cruise terminal. Everything... More

This is a nice hotel in a good area of Ramblas.. easy to walk to lots of things. They have a lounge but its not very big.. only a few tables. The hotel restaurant however had the slowest wait staff I believe I've ever experienced. It took 10 minutes to ask me what I want to drink and another 10... More

Great hotel by Spanish standards for 4 stars and excellent location. However the check and check out process is extremely slow and inefficient. Loby is small but our room was very good. Would come again hoping that they will have fixed their process.

Visited Barcelona for three nights end of April. Hotel was on La Ramblas and central for walking around the city. Our room was a delux and overlooked the Main Street. No noise at all at night and beds very comfortable. Staff very friendly and always pleased to help. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a city break.

The hotel's location is very good, just about 5 min. to walk from end station of Aerobus. Staff is very friendly, rooms are very nice (had one to the back) and also the breakfast is very good. A special view to the Rambla. Places of interest or underground are easy to reach by walking. All in all we can highly... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
