We have spent 3 nights in 2014 December. It was my 10th time in Barcelona but this hotel was the best that I evet experienced in this city. We have reserved 4 superior rooms, all of them were recently renovated. The only strange thing was the washbasin is located just near the room door, the shower and the toilet is... More

Very centrally located, close to everything. The location is perfect. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. We were allowed to check in early and our room was ready. Highly recommend this hotel.

The Hotel cannot be better placed for all of the tourist needs, It is comfortable and clean. The rooms are small and you cannot all sit around comfortably. However, the staff are very helpful and friendly. It would be nice to have some seats outside so that you can relax and take in the atmosphere of the area. Down the... More

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It is centrally located on Las Ramblas making nightlife in Barcelona extremely enjoyable and convenient. Despite the noise outside, my room was quiet. There is a lot to do in the surrounding area. The breakfast at the hotel is good too.

Located right on the Rambla-Starbucks with free wi-fi just down street. Double pane windows so can look at over action without the noise. Very easy stroll from the Plaza Cantaluna where the airport shuttle bus drops off. This is also the Plaza where you can get the excellent Double decker tour buses. Also very close to the Mercado-lots of great... More

Well positioned on La Rambla, handy to the Placa de Catalunya. The hotel has efficient staff, a good breakfast, and quiet rooms. The continuing changing scene from the window if a front room is selected is amazing. The windows are double glazed which eliminates the street and crowd noise. Generally good all round value. Well recommended.

Having never been to Barcelona, we really got lucky by booking this beautiful boutique hotel. The Royal Ramblas hotel is located on the renowned ‘Las Ramblas’, a block away from Barcelona’s Placa Catalunya and metro system. It’s literally just minutes from their famous market, Gothic quarter, and Placa Reial, with numerous restaurants and bars. The staff, whom all spoke English,... More

Staying in La Rambla

Neighborhood Profile
La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-meter boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetizing selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
