My husband, 6 year old and I spent a week here in February. What a great, great location. The Royal Ramblas is perfectly located at the very centre of the Ramblas, Barcelona's main walkway and the hub of activity in the city. And right between two main metro stations - Catalunya and Lucie -- which made getting around the city... More

Located at the Placa de Catalunya end of the Ramblas a five minute walk from the airport bus stops. Centrally located for all the major sites and attractions of Barcelona. There is a taxi rank across the road from the hotel if you want to travel further afield. The hotel itself is very well presented with a minimalist style and... More

This hotel is located in the heart of the Ramblas. It's very quick and easy to access directly from the airport either by the bus or the train. If you looking to stay by the Ramblas, this is the perfect stay. The staff were very helpful. At check-in, they provided a list of restaurants and ideas if you need some.... More

What a little gem this hotel was! It only took 20 minutes from the airport and we were checked in very quickly, we were right in the heart of Las Ramblas, modern, clean and friendly staff, super room with everything we needed, we had a taxi ordered for us for the morning and a wake up call, nothing was too... we came at 12:00 but only one room was ready, so we went out, then back at 18:00 and the new reception guy didn't know that we need to get another room key. t takes him 15 minuets to understand what we are asking and waited time for nothing. the room is nice, but need some maintenance. they give very... Fantastic location between Placa Catalunya and Boqueria Market. Our room was much bigger than expected with a street view to La Rambla. I liked it so much and kept the window open. The room was very clean and there was free WiFi in the hotel. Service came with a smile and we didn't use it much :) Don't recommend the... More

Just back from my 1st visit to Barcelona. My Partner booked the trip as a surprise because I had major back surgery in November and we missed out on our usual New Year trip abroad. He chose the Ramblas as it was centrally located which was important to us because of my recent operation and the reviews for it were... More

We had one night in Barcelona before taking a cruise and wanted a good location. The Royal Ramblas is slap bang in the middle of the Ramblas area of the city. We took an evening stroll along the pedestrianised street past the indoor market, lots of shops and restaurants, right in the heart of the city - so excellent location.... More

I've just returned from one night's stay at the Royal Ramblas and received this email which is completely unacceptable. You would think housekeeping would know to check the room for missing articles before accusing guests of stealing! I do not see you questioning housekeeping, who ALSO had access to this room. I would definitely think twice about returning to this... More

Just back from my 1st visit to Barcelona. My Partner booked the trip as a surprise and chose the Royal Ramblas as the reviews he had read said it was central. As I have recently had back surgery this was a major consideration. The location definitely didn't disappoint. Couldn't fault the hotel. Room was ready on arrival, even though we... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
