Location is great, very close to main attractions but still in a quiet place. Room size and bathroom is ok as I was staying in a single room. A/C a bit too loud. Had no problems with Wi-Fi. Ladies at the reception are helpful. Basic hotel with basic amenities, maybe a little bit overpriced. I got good rate so it... More

The hotel itself is pretty no frills, but the location trumps all. Easy access to the metro, Las Ramblas, Boqueria Market, Gothic Quarter, etc. You can even walk from the hotel down by the water and to the beach if you are up to it. Our rooms were clean and we even had a cute little balcony to look outside... More

We got the Aerobus from the airport terminal 1, we got off at the bus stop, Universitat (3rd stop) the hotel was a 2 minute walk from here. Check in was fast & easy. Every where was very clean, or rooms very clean & spacious, beds very comfortable, shower was fab, loads of power, clean towels every day. There is... More

Room was spacious for a city centre location and well cleaned. The balcony was a good size and had great views of Barcelona (room 509). Staff were friendly and spoke English. Have stayed in similar hotels that have been 4 star rated. Although on a main street, it was relatively quiet and we had no problems with noise on an... More

My husband and I spent 2 nights at Caledonian hotel during our stay in Barcelona. Our room was nice and the decor is contemporary. The best part of the staying here was the location - so close to La Ramblas!! The staff was professional and friendly. Wish we had stayed longer here.

We had 3 rooms with terraces on 5th floor. Great views of Barcelona for a fraction of the cost of more expensive hotels. Definitely recommended for City break. Close to bars and restaurants and La Ramblas.

I was in Barcelona in May 2014. My travel agent booked me a room at the Caledonian and it was a good choice, central to most places, close to the metro, La Rambla, La Boqueria Market and the downtown area. A peasant 30 minutes walk to the Sagrada Familia. Interior décor of this hotel is modern and tastefully done. Service... More

I stayed at Caledonian Hotel as a solo traveller for 3 nights. This was an alternative hotel to the one I originally booked. The hotel was great. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The foyer is well decorated and inviting. The rooms were spacious and very well decorated and the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast room was... More

I lived for one year in Barcelona so I know really well the city. . I booked this hotel only for one night just because the location, it is perfect if you are arriving from El Prat airport and taking the shuttle bus (AeroBus) to the center. The bus stop is just less than a block away waking to the... More

This hotel is great for your city trips! Rooms were meticulously clean and staff very friendly. Free WiFi, which is always a bonus, and air conditioning. Breakfast was not the best, but fine if you're just looking for some cereal and toast! The location is ideal, approximately 10 minute walk from catelonia square and the heart of the city. For...
