Pros: friendly staff, big rooms, big bathrooms, perfect location, wonderful breakfast with a plentiful buffet, plus you can ask for cooked to order eggs, etc. Great wifi, we have Platinum Marriot, so it was free for us. Not sure if they charge otherwise. Cons: getting a bit worn out. We stayed in room 619. There is a big gaping hole... More

We stayed at this hotel awaiting a cruise of the Med. The location is ideal. You can walk to the Sagrada Famillia and the important Plaza Catalanes...where you can board the Hop on, Hop off bus. Las Rambles is also a walk away. A week before we arrived, we received an email from the hotel asking what time we would... More

A very nice hotel in an excellent location. We walked everywhere. The staff is wonderful. Always very helpful and wanting to please. I was a little disappointed that although I was told we had been upgraded (I'm lifetime Platinum) the room was rather small and didn't have a sofa. The breakfast was very good. I'm still waiting for the Marriott... More

We stayed for 4 nights would most certainly return here again. Excellent service by the entire team and since our 1st visit to Barcelona they suggested great restaurants and tips. Loved the rooftop deck that had wonderful views around the city. Rooms are a little small but this is typical of European hotels. My only critique would be more drawers... More

The hotel is on a noisy corner, but well positioned for all the city centre shops and sites, although 20 minutes walk away from the seafront. The room was small but clean, comfortable and well equipped, with a bath! The rooftop terrace bar had great views, and the restaurant did a good job catering for a party of 30. Breakfasts... More

We stayed at the Renaissance Barcelona for three nights on a recent trip to Spain. It was within a short walking distance of Antoni Gaudi's La Sagrada Familia and several of his residential buildings. Our hotel room was quiet, away from the busy street in front of the property, and provided a view of the towers of La Sagrada Familia,... More

this Hotel had the perfect location to everything, it's a nice boutique place for American tourist but has some other elements. it has a cute bar sitting area on a mid level terrace. The staff were ok because we hardly spent any time at the hotel. Try and get the breakfast package its easy and similar to what you're used... More

A very enjoyable stay with excellent service. The friendly staff graciously took care of my luggage on my early morning arrival and I only waited a little while before they were able to accommodate a very early check in, just enough time for cafe. The navigators were a very pleasant surprise with excellent recommendations for sips, eats and activities, and... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
