This was a great hotel. Location, staff, and the rooms were all perfect. It was the perfect place for 3 lifelong friends for an adventure. We found the staff to be helpful for finding our way around town. The location was far enough away to be quiet but close enough to be able to walk everywhere.

We enjoyed our stay at The Renaissance. All the staff were helpful and attentive. Particular mention must go to the front of house staff who were brilliant at looking after our needs. Carlo the evening waiter and Alexandro in the bar were charming. However there were a few niggles. The towels were on the small side and somewhat scratchy. Drinking... More

This hotel is part of Marriott group and so can collect the points. Great location and really nice standards. Got a corner room with pandora mic views across two sides. Very comfortable. Only ate breakfast there because of all the great tapas places in walking distance. Good tasty breakfast. Gym relatively small for a hotel of this standard.

I stayed at this hotel on a business trip and we used the conference venue in the bottom level for the event. I had a good stay at this hotel, absolutely loved my room which was all white inside. I loved the couch against the wall all the way around one side of the room, table etc. The view was... More

We spent 4 nights last week at the Renaissance Barcelona Hotel. Overall, it was a good stay. Rooms were good size, view of the Pau Claris St, cleanliness and amenities were nice. Why not a 5? Navigators cold welcome or none from those at the front desk Internet cost was 38 euros for our stay(cheapest option) Directions to arrive at... More

I am pleased we chose the Renaissance. The meeting room was bright and a good size, with helpful staff. Coffee breaks were punctual with plenty of juices, cakes and pastries. Reception staff were polite. My room key did keep demagnetising and had to be reprogrammed three times. Breakfast was fine in the Cru restaurant, where we also had lunch and... More

5 stars for this hotel! Perfect location for us. Extremely well managed, staff professional, had a room with a fantastic view. Lots of open spaces on the bottom two floors to hang out. Small but good gym. They did seem to clean the rooms very late - two days when we came back at 3PM, the maid had not yet... More

I visited in January, but I am coming back in the spring to the rooftop bar at the Marriott Renaissance Barcelona Hotel to see the best bartender in town Sebastian. He is a mixologist, a comrade, and an instant friend. He speaks perfect english, some french and german in addition to Spanish. Take the time to talk to the bartenders... More

The hotel is located very central. The building is modern. Staff at checkin was professional and friendly. My room was on the 4th floor. The size was ok for one night but some more space for clothes/suits would be welcome. The wooden floor and carpet were not perfectly clean, actually the carpet was a bit dirty. Breakfast is ok, the... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
