This hotel is located on Pau Claris, about 3 blocks from Plaça de Catalunya (and La Rambla) and one block from Passeig de Gracia metro station. Far enough from the noise but close enough to be easily accessible. Rooms and especially bathrooms were very clean and of high quality. There is a WIFI in the rooms but expect to pay... More

I recently stayed at the Renaissance Hotel Barcelona and highly recommend it to others. The property was beautiful and very centrally located. More importantly, from the moment I arrived, the staff was helpful in providing suggestions on local restaurants and cafés, sights to see, and night life. I definitely plan on visiting Barcelona again and would stay at this hotel.

During a recent 2 night stay before our Princess cruise (there must have been 15-20 others there waiting for that same ship), the Renaissance was a good home base for all our sightseeing excursions and dinners in Barcelona. it is conveniently located near a number of attractions, but is situated in a fairly quiet neighborhood a few blocks from all... Ok, here is the deal, had two rooms booked using Marriott Elite points. So, we were not in reality paying but have by being exclusive Marriott customers. Any stay in the US using points is not an issue. At this Hotel, the front desk seemed not too learned on guests using the point structure and almost relegated us to "2nd... More

We always prefer selecting a Marriott property and are loyal to the Marriott brand. Almost all of our experiences have been very good or excellent but on some rare occasions, the property does not measure up, in our opinion. That was the case here. The room was clean and well appointed in a contemporary style, the bedding comfortable, the lobby... More

This is the best hotel i've ever stayed at. We had a welcome treat of pastries and wine waiting in our rooms at check-in. Their communication is excellent as they sent me a confirmation email before our trip to make sure our rooms are ready close to our arrival flight. The hotel is very clean, modern and quiet. The location... More

We stayed here twice, before and after a Tour to Costa Brava. The Hotel is located only blocks from the action but felt like you were more in a local neighborhood which was nice. Not in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Barcelona but a 5-10 minute walk put you right in the center of all the action!... More

We stayed here both before and after a cruise. We were very happy with both stays. Our rooms were excellent...very spacious, with nice décor (especially liked the wood style floors). The staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooftop terrace was a nice way to unwind at the end of the day and the views were amazing. We loved the... More

Once this was the AC chain. Have stayed here at least 25 times. Service, rooms, rates are all excellent. Recently the Marriott folks acquired and installed a fantastic bar and restaurant. Frankly is first class for a Marriott. The bar serves first class hand crafted coctails. See Teresa, she is very special and will make you one fabulous coctail.

Spent a night at the Renaissance. The room was well appointed with a sizeable bathroom and no signs of wear and tear. The breakfast in the bar was excellent. The hotel staff, including concierge and porters, were very helpful. It is a nicely sized hotel with mostly American clientele
