I've stayed for 4 night in this hotel. My room was on the second floor, so it was very quiet. I travelled with colleagues who had their rooms on the first floor and they complained they could not sleep because of the noise from the street. As I have been lucky with my room, I had an excellent sleep in... More

Perfectly fine hotel in a central part of Barcelona. Beware of booking a double, as that may mean two twin beds pushed together. Breakfast was delicious, albeit an added expense. Staff was friendly and helped us book taxi transportation back to the airport. If you're a light sleeper, I would request a room away from the elevators, as you can... More

It was a very nice hotel, and the staff was very kind. We had a room that was located towards the street, with a bar right a cross, so there could be some noise at night. But the hotel has a great location between la rambla and the beach, so you are in a walking distance of everything.

Located on a lively street in the gothic quarter, close to La Rambla, the Mediterranean and the Metro. The hotel and rooms are nicely decorated and have some funky decor. The room was reasonable size for Europe and filled all our needs, including a balcony. Staff was pleasant and helpful.

Nice hotel with lovely designs in the Furniture and decorations. Some of it a little impractical. Our room was not small but the bed was so large that there was not much room for us. The air conditioning was quiet and worked well but my wife had problems with a cold draught on her shoulder at night. It was a... More

The location is very strategic. Walking distance from the Port and 30 mins from the airport. The museums are just nearby, las Ramblas, Cataluna, the train stations are just within minutes away. What is nostalgic is that as if you are one living in the historic old barri gothic town. The staff are very helpful and when you are there,... More

Hesperia barri gotic has a strtategic location. Just walking distance to las ramblas, catalunya, and the sea port. Within the gotic area, you will enjoy the many quaint shops. Though the surroundings is not that clean. The hotel is clean and the staff are helpful and efficient. especially the Frontliners. Our group had a blast in our Barcelona Experience.

Great location for gothic quarter and not far from beach. Lots of nice restaurants nearby. The hotel was basic but clean and modern. The staff were helpful. I would recommend this hotel if visiting for a city break.

Comfortable room with good bathroom. Located in charming Gothic area, Close to marinas, tour bus stops and Rambla. Some great restaurants very close by. Suggest high floor if possible - we had 4th floor. Our friends were on 2nd floor and it was a darker room. Good hotel for a tourist in Barcelona!

Well what a surprise !!! This hotel is only rated as 3 stars but we were very pleased with the reception, room and service. The room was very large, clean and fresh (we stayed in room 310 3rd floor). Bathroom was fab, it was like a wet room and was cleaned every day with fresh towels etc. Hotel was quiet and... More

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
