We read all the reviews on this hotel and finally booked it as part of a BA Holidays package as it was such a great deal - 1 week for around £1800 for 4 people in August. We arrived after check-in time to find room wasn't ready but staff immediately seated us in the bar area and offered us a... More

Just home after using the hotel as a base for 6 nights with a family of 6. We had two rooms which were cleaned every day and towels changed. This is a very clean and welcoming hotel. We had a ball! we used the metro to get around using a T10 ticket. This worked out so cheap and reasonable. The... More

Rooms are clean. But the front desk staff is rude and useless. Definitely not more than 2 stars. Check in at 2pm, flight landed in the morning. Front desk asked why we don't smile , well we are tired after a long flight. Once room was ready after sitting by the roof top pool in the heat while gypsy kids... More

This hotel is clean and tidy, the staff polite and helpful and the situation ideal for travelling to all areas of the city. Considering we travelled in the school holidays the price was competitive and the cost of drinks, bar snacks etc very reasonable. The breakfast was plentiful and varied. I sometimes wonder what people expect for their money -... More

My stay at Catalonia Atenas Hotel was OK. While the hotel was nice/clean I do not believe it warrants the price in which it costs. I do not believe that it should be a 4 star hotel as many reviews suggests as the room is pretty standard and nothing special. The pool is extremely misleading as it is more the... More

The hotel is great. Rooms unique with all necessities, including all necessities in bathroom. Room service is great and the rooms are clean and tidy. Generally speaking all the hotel is very clean and tidy in and out. Breakfast is amazing, there is a big variety of things to choose from daily either for eating or drinking. Reception desk is... After reading reviews on last minute i booked this hotel as it rated quite well, but after reading reviews on here i was slightly worried! I booked a triple room as was travelling with hubby and teenager, the hotel was out of the city area but only approx 5 stops on metro on the red line, metro was really easy... More

We unfortunately chose this so called 4 star hotel due to reason that we travelled with a Tour Company. We wish we have chosen the 3 star hotel or pay another 200 Euro and stay in the 5 star hotel. I stayed in many hostels or 3 star hotels in Europe in the past which were all better than this... More

We checked in to the hotel afternoon and left for seeing the city centre. When we came back we realised that our case was opened and the money was stolen from my trousers. I went to the hotel management and complained about that problem but they didn't take any responsibility for that. They transferred us to another hotel but didn't... More

This hotel is fresh, clean and very affordable in high priced Barcelona. The roof top deck with small pool is a beautiful spot to start or end your day. It looks over the city including the Gaudi masterpiece, Sagrada Familia. It is across the street from the metro stop with a short trip to the Ramblas area. A nice stay!
