I stayed at this hotel from 13.03 to 17.03.2014, participated in Barcelona marathon, quiet and calm place, 800 m. from Metro Poblenou L - 4, close to the center ,the hotel had only 2 TV- channels, internett do not work in the rom 308 or other roms in 3 floor only near resepcion. 4 stars Hotel but my room and... The hotel is in a good location near the beach and reasonably priced restaurants and bars. Good sized rooms that are well equipped, beds are hard though. We found lovely bars that were not Las Rambla overpriced!! If you want commercial its only 10 euros by taxi,we preferred where we were. Would definately return...

The room I had is a standard hotel room with a perfectly fine double bed, a bench/ desk, functioning WiFi, and enough room on the floor for exercise. This time of year, I was grateful for the extra blankets stacked in the closet. The breakfast buffet was extensive and good, and included an unusually good selection of fresh fruit as... More

I'm giving this place 2 stars because they have a really great breakfast buffet, the rest is awful. The rooms are not that great, you can hear everything in the hallway and I could even here the people upstairs in the bathroom peeing. The bed, OMG, the bed, it's the most uncomfortable bed I've EVER slept in. It's as hard... More

Stayed at the euro Friday to Monday, found staff to be friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable but lack of tea making facilities was a let down. Restaurant served a nice buffet breakfast, but despite an invitation to dine at night, the fact that there was no menu on view was very off putting. Overall a lovely stay but with a... More

We stayed at the Diagonal Port Hotel for two whislt waiting to board the Norwegian Spirit for our Cruise. Having read varying reports about this hotel we were not sure what to expect. We found the Reception staff very pleasant & helpful on our arrival and we were quickly booked in and in our room. We found the room very... More

Arrived at the hotel and the check in process and cleanliness of the lobby was reasonable. We took the 1 working lift up to our floor to find the corridor was taped up with covers and wet paint and with tins littered on the floor. The room was of an expected size. There was no coldness coming out of the... More

We had a nice stay at the hotel. It's really close to the beach which is amazing if you like to stay most of the time there. We had a sea-view room which is more expensive than standard one but on arrival we realised there is no front-view on the sea but only side ones. So we were looking at... More

Nice hotel not very attractive from outside and well equipped and decorated inside. 3 min walk to the sandy beach and 10 min walk to the nearest metro station around 15 min away from down town. Had a family room with all you need. Aircon is very efficient and bathroom looked pretty fresh and spacey. Nice B-fast and enough cafes... More

Staying in Poblenou

Neighborhood Profile
Poblenou
The futuristic Agbar Tower stands out from Barcelona's skyline in Poblenou. It is no coincidence then that this area of town is the newly crowned technological park of the city, its own mini Silicon Valley containing a tech incubator (Barcelona Activa) as well as a host of local and international high tech companies. To accommodate the onrush of new residents and workers, the area of Poblenou has seen a surge of activity in new high-rise residential buildings and two top-notch shopping centers catering to everyone's need. The ambiance of this area is calmer than the city center and the beautifully relaxing Bogatell Beach, popular with locals, is just a handful of blocks away.
