It is a clean residence. It is walking distance to the beach, city centre and sagrada familia. Small room, silent district. If you go for educational purposes, it may be much cheaper. It is 6 euros to the centre by taxi. No breakfast, the kitchen is ok for cooking, there are markets nearby.

Great place to explore Barcelona from, central nto transportation. Former two person dorm rooms for the university. Have your own kitchen, safe and reasonable. One causion- if you have a car plan on parking it in their lot (VERY expensive). There is no surface parking in the neighborhood. As it turned out, we would have been better off parking in... More

Apartment was very big, bathroom very comfortable and clean. And location was perfect in front of estacio del nord plus taxis were passing by all the time. Only bad remark i can make is in relation to how noisy it got at night, with some of the residents coming in at night at around 2am and 4am and being rowdy... More

Me and 3 friends stay at Residencia Onix for a few nights, as we were in town for the Primavera Sound festival. The apartment was very small but had everything we needed for those days (small kitchenette, 2 bathrooms, big wardrobes, 2 rooms with 4 single, large comfy beds). It was really basic but super clean. The building also has... More

Me and my friend (both 20-year-old finnish girls) were visiting Barcelona in July 2013 and we stayed in Residecia Onix. Onix was surprisely good place to stay for us! We didn't have any problems with anything. THE LOCATION was good. Close to the Arc de Triomf metro station and walking distance to the Placa Catalunya (15-20min walk) and Barceloneta beach... More

This is a student apartment building, very quiet in the summertime, renting to travellers/tourists. And it's quite good for what it is. I reserved a single, they gave me a double, same price. Secured building with 24-hour desk. Rooms were dated but clean/cleaned daily and included kitchenette with all necessary kitchenware, private bath. Shower is small and beds are not... More

There's a lot to say about this residence that you must take in concern in order to have a pleasant stay like I had. 1 - This is in fact a students' residence that offers rooms for travelers too, so you must take in concern that the rooms don't have the usual offers of a normal hotel like soap and... Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
