Fantastic location - right above metro station and a road off Placa Catalunya. Clean and tidy rooms. Quiet hallways. Friendly and helpful staff. May hear some noise from traffic at night but not a big deal. Great value for money - you won't make a mistake on this one!

We stayed in the Q hostel's serviced apartment situated in the Gothic area of Barcelona. The main reception of the hostel is walking distance from the Rambla and once you've checked in, they transfer you to their apartment. The apartment is in a typical barcelona neighbourhood, with cafes, bars, main sights all within walking distance. The Picasso museum too is... More

I really enjoyed it, the staff is friendly and always helpful, cleanliness is excellent, the hostel is very close to Plaça Catalunya and is well connected by public transport. A small defect on the rooms, the one we had faced the street and we felt much traffic, because of the fixtures little insulation, so at times we felt a little... More

The place is clean, modern and friendly staff. I read about metro noise. Dont worry, it sounded to me like faraway thunder. definetly did not bother me. So much is near this place, cafe's, stores, you can walk anywhere, worth it.

The location is really good, the place is modern, stylish, clean and the rooms and bathrooms are nice, not too small and everything works as it should! The receptionist is kind, and you can use perfectly the kitchen, computers, and your own TV for free. The cleaning service keep the room tydy and nice during yout stance, and the shower... More

a nice location to look around the center of Barcelona city. Step out of the Hostal then you can find Metro station. Laptops for internet searching and kitchen facilities for coffee and tea are nice and always available for using while I stayed. Room is kind of small but clean. Staffs are kind and no problem in English. If you... More

The staff is so helpful. The location of the hotel is excellent for center of town. The room is quiet small, suitable for one person. If anybody comes in couples should select two beds and ask for the room with the window. The information counter is very good and have variety with the discount of City Bus tour.

This was our first trip to Barcelona and i must say that from the outset it was extremely positive. We arrived about ten o clock at night and could have walked by the entrance it was so small. We were then greeted by the receptionist who was very positive and enthusiastic about telling us all about Barcelona and everywhere to... More

Mould, mould and more mould. So positives first as the list is short. The location was really good. Close to the bus drop off from the airport and only a 5 minute walk to Placa Catalunya. Tones of restaurants, shopping and attractions in the area. The staff seemed fairly knowledgable and were able to point us in the direction of... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
