We stayed in Hostal Q for 6 days. It is superbly located and very economical for the area. The rooms are a bit small and it is a strange layout/ plan for the room with the shower and the toilet, but we did not might it at all. The best part of the hostal is the very friendly and helpful... More

Excellent Location of the hotel. 2 min walk to placa de catalunya from where you get the tourist buses as well as the aerobus to airport very frequently. It's right next to the urqioana metro station and near to Las Ramblas where you find numerous restaurants. The ambience of the accommodation is good and staff are very friendly. It might... More

Really can't rate Hostal Q highly enough! I was impressed even before arrival as they sent an email with airport shuttle bus info which saved us €€€ right away! We had a late arrival after a delayed flight however lady on reception welcomed us by name and made a great effort to provide us with some useful information. Room was... More

Fantastic location - right above metro station and a road off Placa Catalunya. Clean and tidy rooms. Quiet hallways. Friendly and helpful staff. May hear some noise from traffic at night but not a big deal. Great value for money - you won't make a mistake on this one!

We stayed in the Q hostel's serviced apartment situated in the Gothic area of Barcelona. The main reception of the hostel is walking distance from the Rambla and once you've checked in, they transfer you to their apartment. The apartment is in a typical barcelona neighbourhood, with cafes, bars, main sights all within walking distance. The Picasso museum too is... More

I really enjoyed it, the staff is friendly and always helpful, cleanliness is excellent, the hostel is very close to Plaça Catalunya and is well connected by public transport. A small defect on the rooms, the one we had faced the street and we felt much traffic, because of the fixtures little insulation, so at times we felt a little... More

The place is clean, modern and friendly staff. I read about metro noise. Dont worry, it sounded to me like faraway thunder. definetly did not bother me. So much is near this place, cafe's, stores, you can walk anywhere, worth it.

The receptionist is kind, and you can use perfectly the kitchen, computers, and your own TV for free. The cleaning service keep the room tydy and nice during yout stance, and the shower... More

a nice location to look around the center of Barcelona city. Step out of the Hostal then you can find Metro station. Laptops for internet searching and kitchen facilities for coffee and tea are nice and always available for using while I stayed. Room is kind of small but clean. Staffs are kind and no problem in English. If you... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
