We stayed at hotel Garbi Milleni for 3 nights. The room was a good size, shower and bath were good and it was a relief to have good wifi to be in contact with home. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to Las Ramblas as well as being central for both bus and train. The down side was the... More

My daughter and I stayed here for 4 nights. The room was small but ok. No tea/ coffee facilities. Only two plug sockets, neither of which were near bed. View from bedroom was straight into other rooms! Bathroom was a decent size and maids came in and cleaned every day. The breakfast was fairly basic and not very appetising and... More

I really wanted to like this hotel as it was reasonably priced and ideally positioned in Barcelona close to Las Ramblas and the Port. Sad to say although it was clean and bright our room which was on the fifth floor had a flooded bathroom for two days. The concierge was aware of this problem as he said right away... More

Was really nervous about staying at this hotel as I had read some terrible reviews from others about the location. Lots had commented on it being in the red light district and seeing signs in the hotel about pickpockets in the vicinity. I did not find this to be the case though and was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is a... More

The location of this Hotel is good enough. Rooms are decent but a little bit smaller than others from the same hotel category. The receptionist was a very friendly and nice person but the lobby was small. There is an open air Jacuzzi on the last floor. WiFi is free of charge.

We arrived and the reception staff welcomed us and were very polite. We had booked a double room for our 3 night stay but the first night we had a triple which we had to change the next day... No problems at all and they offered us a full breakfast the next morning for the inconvenience.. Very nice of them.... More

Travelling with our teenage daughter we had booked a room for 3. Nice enough room, maybe a bit small but ok. Very nice bathroom. We didn't try the breakfast - it seemed too expensive compared to what was available close by. Location was ok - metro station within 2 minutes walking distance, but in the evening I wouldn't have liked... More

Stayed here 4 nights prior to cruise. Location is so-so. But the hotel is at best a low to medium three star. Small room (even though we were were told we were upgraded size), no lobby, poor over price breakfast. Not a comfortable bed, poor bathroom extras and any surface above five feet had a years worth of dust on... More

As a 4* this hotel is shoddy. The small rooms didn't bother my partner and I, as of you've had other city breaks like Amsterdam you'll be use to the architecture that buildings are narrow but tall. However, the roof the boast about was too small for the hotel, with few sunbeds and a jacuzzi that looked like it hadn't... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
