The hotel has a fantastic location within walking distance to many of Barcelona's attractions. From the hotel we were a mere couple of blocks from Las Ramblas and the many restaurants and venues associated with the area. We also walked to the buildings designed by Gaudi and passed by interesting shopping areas. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful with... More

This hotel is overrated, not a bad hotel, but it is not a 4 stars. Everything is very old, it needs to be renovated. Great location, but it is a 3 stars hotel. Breakfast is just OK, but nothing special, very limited options. Frond desk staff is a little arrogant and cleaning people are mopping the floors in the peak... More

The positive aspects for this hotel were that it is ideally located near Plaza Catalunya, there are elements of old-world character and charm still present, the staff were unfailingly helpful and our room was quiet and reasonably comfortable. On the other hand the carpets in the hallways require upgrading, there is plaster peeling from the walls in the breakfast room... More

Having found it difficult to find a room for a family of five, we booked the Regina without much knowledge of the hotel. It turned out a very pleasant surprise. The location is fantastic. The staff were extremely helpful. The family room is a great size. The decor is a little dated but that didn't matter for us. We had... More

We stayed at hotel for 4 days, good breakfast cooked as well as continental. Small bar. Staff were very friendly, nothing a bother to them. Rooms comfortable, pillows good, large towels. Close to underground metro, buses, taxis in same street, and close to Catalunya square and la rambla. Good bagels at Zurich cafe just around corner of la rambla. Star... More

Just steps from the hop on hop off buses, Las Ramblas and a myriad of restaurants and bars. Lovely lobby with a friendly small bar. The rooms are small but comfy. In room safes, frig and flat screen tv. The only complaint would be rather low lighting in the bathroom. Beds are comfortable. Bathrobes are supplied. The breakfast buffet is... More

Brilliant location. Fairly basic rectangular room without a view but clean and tidy for a one night stay. Didn't eat at the hotel but had a few drinks in the bar. Friendly staff. Just don't forget your passport for every member of the party as they wont let you stay.

We enjoyed our short stay in Regina. The hotel stands out for its friendly and helpful staff and its lovely breakfast featuring delicious home-made cakes and a great bread selection. Another plus is the central location with the metro in front of the entrance. Our room however was tiny, worn down and quite noisy. Also the stairs and the corridors... More

Great position close to Placa de Catalunya, La Rambla, metro trains and hop-on, hop-off buses. Lots of great cafes and restaurants around. Our room was small but for our need that was all we needed. Reception staff on arrival were very friendly and helpful giving information and suggestions of places to visit.

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
