Good location and Convenient transportation to almost any destination, walking distance to many attractions. The hotel is located near La Rambla and Barri Gotic, with its nightlife, shopping, souvenirs, etc. The hotel is quite clean, cozy, pretty good Wi-fi. Front desk service is more than pleasant. Buffet breakfast was good enough. Dining area nice and clean. Somewhat Noisy if you... More

First the positives. The location! Aaand that's about it. Well, the staff was somewhat nice as well. I stayed during a weekend and decided to stay closer to Pl. Cataluyna then I usually do when visiting Barcelona (5-10 times per year). My mother spoke fondly of this hotel when she stayed here during the summer. But... Both saturday AND sunday,... More

Dear Martin, Thank you for your opinion about your stay. I am really sorry to read that your experience was not what you expected. Stayed here for 4 nights in December 2014. The hotel was chosen for its ideal location - in my opinion if you want to explore Barcelona you must dwell on Plaza Catalunya. Hotel Regina is located literally on Plaza Catalunya. Convenient transportation to almost any destination, walking distance to many attractions. Very convenient: Bus service to airport (Airbus) and touring... More

For such a price (125EUR/night, 2 nights (Sun-Mon)), I think it was not that cheap. Yes, ideal location... Just near the Catalunya Square... Yes, bed is comfortable... But the building, rooms, bath, corridors - as if the owner got a decision not to spend money for renovation forever...

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
