I came here during one of Barcelona's busiest weekends: Sónar weekend. This place was fantastic for meeting and chatting with fellow hostel mates. There are free dinners and the staff personally take you out (rather than a pub crawl guide). The staff (Mauro, Marilyn, Natasja, and Marcos) are incredible and talk to you as if you are life long friends.... More

This hostel embodies everything I look for when travelling. The hostel is small which makes it a perfect place to meet people. The staff are fantastic and so knowledgeable about Barcelona and all of the great places to go. It is filled with all the right kind of people. Free dinner every night and they were super accommodating to any... More

One of the best hostels I stayed at during my holiday in Europe. The staff are extremely friendly - Mauro and Nikola are really welcoming and helpful during your stay. There is a dinner organized every night which is a great way to meet the other travelers in the hostel. Everyone at the hostel was extremely welcoming and truly made... More

Amazing staff led by Angel. They create a great vibe with nightly dinners included, and social events planned to form a real sense of traveler community. Would recommend to anyone, especially young travelers looking to connect with others.

One of the best hostels I've been to in a long time. It is the place you hate to leave at the end of your stay, more than the city itself. The hostel feels like a home filled with friends. The staff in incredibly helpful and nice and know how to get the evening going every time. The dinner together... More

Hands down the best hostel i have been to in the world! All the staff are extraordinary personalities which makes for the best experience of Barcelona. Angel, Marcos, Mauro and Marilyn were more of friends than staff, eager to show me around to the best local eats and drinks quickly. They feed you and bring you under their wing of... More

Our first hostel and we struck gold. I was traveling with my college-age daughters and everyone made us feel right at home! Great place to visit. Thanks to all the staff, you really earn these fantastic reviews.

Definitely one of the best hostels I've stayed at throughout my travels around Europe. The rooms themselves were very nice, I was a bit reserved before arriving for I was in the larger mixed room where it had said that others walk through to get to their room. This was actually not a problem at all, it was just a... More

Staying in Montjuic

Neighborhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colorful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
