The staff where really helpful, the hotel was clean and tidy and our room had everything we needed for a base over our holiday. We had a twin room (2 friends sharing) and although it was long and narrow we had more than enough room to walk around and get ourselves ready. We didn't spend an awful lot of the... More

It was a very lovely room, clean and stylish, quirky touches and all round interesting decor, lovely staff and perfect location, never went to the restaurant although it looked fine. Really liked everything about the hotel expect the fact that you had to give your key to your room back every time you left the hotel and all you needed... More

We stay only for a night as a family of four and it was really nice close to the ramblas but really quiet and easy to access. A nice atmosphere and very big room, clean and with all the necessary. For a short stay I definitely will come back. What is also very pleasant is that it is on corner... More

2 minutes from La Ramblas but down a quiet little side street so far enough away from the maddening crowd to allow you to get a good nights sleep. Funky themed floors with a different movie star on each - I stayed in Marilyn Monroe - no jokes please. excellent buffet breakfast. Cool funky bar that serves excellent mojitos and... More

For the price and rating, this hotel is great. Compared to better hotels, this is a decent one and you can't complain. We had someone who checked us in and gave us great directions, it was great. Apart from that one guy, there were two others who were like a sack of potatoes. Didnt give us any directions, didnt know... More

This hotel has a very good location for Rambla, La boqueria visits, it has a modern and chic design. On Friday evening there is even a DJ in the hotel lobby :). Stayed there for 3 nights and it was ok also for the beach; it had a tasty breakfast that could be served on the terrace in front of... More

Perfect location a short walk from the Rambla (2 min) and the port (5 min walk), but is tucked away on a side street, so it's quiet. There is the possibility to use a small garage if you arrive by car. Well connected, Drassenes metro stop is very close. Our room was very spacious (sixth floor), with a kitchenette to... More

I like this hotel a lot. We've stayed here for a short trip to Barcelona and we really enjoyed our stay. It's kind of different from other hotels because of its specific interiour but this it what it makes it special. The staff was pretty friendly. Can't say anything about the food because we always had food whilst in the... More

I wanted a pool, and looked long and hard for a hotel that also had a pool but was in a good area. I thought I found it but it turned out to be a pool table. Not what I expected but the hotel was lovely and in a terrific location. It was a simple room but all that you... More

Friendly staff who went above and beyond to help. Clean and comfortable rooms that included the amenities we needed (inc. an in-room safe, kitchenette etc.) Fantastic location. We were able to safely walk to bars and nightclubs in the evening and enjoy a range of nearby restaurants and shops during the day. I personally felt very safe in the area... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
