What we liked the most was the concept of the hotel. Starting with the reception, the lobby, each floor had a story and each room a topic. It was not just a place to sleep, it was a metaphor to a cultural trip. We highly recommend this hotel, especially for it position and facilities like reanting bicycles and free biliard... More

Greatly located hotel just off the ramblas (2 mins walk), drassanes metro station and the port bus which takes you to the cruise ship should u be on a pre/post cruise stay. Hotel lobby is amazing really chic and service very friendly and efficient which raises hopes for a great room. Here we got disappointed and this is the only... More

This is a very simple hotel. The beds and specially matresses are very old. Bathroom and shower don't work perfectly. During the nights there are lots of noise from outside. The people at the reception are friendly. Positief points are that hotel is very neerby a welknown street(Las Ramblas), Metro line(green) and the welknown harbor of Barcelona.

As a retired couple we wanted a quiet hotel in a central location. This hotel fitted the bill perfectly. Two minutes from La Rambla but a top floor quiet room. The room had everything we needed. Heat, hot water, a kitchenette and a good size terrace. Spotlessly clean room. Very pleasant and helpful staff and a very quirky reception area.... More

Very good functional hotel for our visit to Barcelona. Great situation near the seafront and almost on the busy Las Ramblas. Clean, well priced, comfy and yes - chic! We were never planning to use the hotel for more than a base for exploring the city, so perfect for our needs. I'd definitely go back.

We had a pitstop flying from Tenerife to Riga. In 2002 I worked 8 months in the Port of Barcelona and it felt very good to stay between port and La Ramblas. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms very nice and clean. We liked the lay-out very much. The concept of the hotel is perfect. Will definitely come back again... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
