We spent two nights at the Granvia and found the location to be perfect for our needs, very close to the Passeig de Gracia and Placa de Catalunya. We did not have the breakfast or use the terrace, though both appeared to be very nice. The room was decorated in a contemporary style and was more spacious than some European... More

This is an excellent boutique hotel in an ideal location. Our "superior room" was roomy, well air conditioned, and had a large bathroom. (As a native Texan, I am very picky about air conditioning, and this one stood up to the stifling July heat!) The hotel is on the southern edge of the Eixample district and a couple of blocks... The lobby is beautiful, the terrace is pretty and even the rooms are nicely decorated. Oh, and the situation is excellent. However the room was very noisy. Not just street noise, more annoyingly you also have to put up with all the noises from the neighboring rooms. The "double bed" consists of two beds that roll away from each other... More

I stayed here on a business trip and it was perfect. Nicely appointed, great location, quiet, internet worked and was quick. Better than most "business" hotels I have stayed at. I would stay here again.

This gorgeous hotel is in a great location, very near Plaza Catalunya, yet just far enough away from the peak season crowds. Sitting On the terrace enjoying a delicious breakfast while planning our daily adventures was the perfect start to every day. We loved this hotel and will defiitely stay there again.

Used aerobus from airport and hotel a short distance away, cheaper than taxi only cost €4.80 for two. can use tour buses but we walked and used local buses to visit park guell no 24 from Main Street . If visiting in peak holiday times we recommend pre booking tickets... More

I was in Barcelona for the last leg of our CM FATIMA/LOURDES trip and our tour company (TRINITYTOURS.COM) found this gem for us! Outstanding as always, unpretentious but chic and modern albeit keeping it's old world charm, two blocks to LAS RAMBLAS and around the corner from PASSEIG DE GRACIA with oodles of shopping, tapas and sangria. There was a... More

After our cruise we wanted to stay in Barcelona for a few extra days. What a great hotel. The hotel was close to many sites and very close to transportation. The rooms were clean and modern, the breakfast which was included was great. The outdoor area was a great place to relax after a day of sightseeing and shopping.

When we walked into the lobby of this hotel and looked up at the lovely stair case entry into the hotel we knew we were in a special place. Our family room [triple] was lovely and large with high ceilings and welcome air conditioning [we spent 3 weeks in a relentless heat wave in both France and Spain]. The common... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
