Arrived in Barcelona after a very long flight from Australia. A short ride from the airport and 10 minute walk to the hotel. What a haven of peace and calm from the outside heat. Love this place and its staff are great. The prices for drinks and tapas at the lounge area bar are very reasonable and we were served... More

We stayed there during a vacation in Barcelona. I selected this hotel after reviewing feedback here in tripadvisor. Room was very nice, well designed and welcoming. Hotel staff was very helpful. We recommend this hotel!

Fantastic, better than its 3-star rating and so central! The Granvia is a beautiful hotel and quiet despite its central location. We could walk to almost all the sites we wanted to see, and buses and the subway station are also within walking distance. Our room was clean, modern, and we had a comfortable bed with very fine sheets. The... More

Beautiful hotel. Clean, quiet, restful, great location, spectacular architecture. Breakfast were delicious. Outdoor deck in back was an added bonus. Great staff, helpful with suggestions and directions.

an excellent location, Central, but quiet. Very good breakfast, something for everyone in the family. Nice to relaxe at the terrace in the evening. We will certainly book Granvia next time we are in Barcelona.

Very good hotel in the center of Barcelona. My wife and I were able to walk everywhere without using public transportation. The hotel is a former mansion and has a palatial feel. The breakfast was the best I had in Spain: a great many choices of ham, and especially dessert. Asked to checkout late and the staff was helpful in... More

This hotel is beautiful!! The people were very nice at the front desk and helpful. The location is great. It was spotless and the air conditioner worked fine. A must in 90+ degrees fahrenheit. Walked everywhere except for park guell and sagrada famila. Lots of restaurants in area. One complaint is the mattress was rock hard.

Granvia is a modern yet elegant hotel that combines classic architecture with clean modern lines. The hotel is extremely clean. The breakfast was ample and the free coffee at tea time was a nice touch and very welcome after returning to the hotel after a day of site seeing. The location is fabulous and the staff was super helpful (special... More

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Granvia. The hotel is beautifully decorated in a modern classical style. The breakfast was amazing, they had everything from scrambled egg, sausage, bacon to fresh fruit, cereal and yummy pastries. All the staff were very helpful and spoke english. I had a single room, which is rare to find in hotels. Again beautifully... More

I stayed at the Granvia for 11 nights over July and August. The hotel decor and ambiance is lovely, great style whilst feeling very relaxed. I stayed in one of the rooms at the rear with a deck overlooking the terrace. The deck made a big difference as the room was not that big. A friend stayed in the Suite... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
