We had a bit of a problem with the airconditioning unit being noisy, but that got fixed. Otherwise we got more than we bargained for. Two twin rooms, divided by a passage with the bathroom off that. No bad smells, no excessive noise, an elevator, (and that's a huge plus that few will appreciate until they have to lug full... more

This hotel must once have looked fabulous but, sadly, not now. It's been allowed to fall into a state of disrepair and now looks very tired and rundown. Rooms are very basic. The air conditioning isn't very good, windows wouldn't open and the shower is diabolical (as already commented on by other reviewers). There were young girls begging on the... more

this hotel should be closed down and turned into a museum.... a strong odor emanates from the bathtub so don't leave the bathroom door open if you don't want the whole room to stink (forget trying to brush your teeth)... used to be a beautiful hotel, this place is only worth a tour of the lobby and the cafeteria more

Booked a double room online and when we got there the room we were offered was nothing like the pictures posted on their website. There is obviously an unrenovated wing that they will give to the unsuspecting tourists. The room was tiny, old, not at all worth the 90 euros a night we were paying, and they wouldn't even give... more

We tried to reserve a room on the hotel's website for our stay in April. However, having given our requirements and card details we were told there was a problem with the website and our booking had been unsuccessful. We contacted the hotel who responded a few days later, informing us that room was available and we needed to confirm... more

After reading the other reviews and looking at the photos on the hotel's website our disappointment on entering our room was intense, especially as it led off a charming internal courtyard. The room itself was very small with just space for two single beds pushed together and a few bits of cheap furniture. The photos showed a spaceous room with... more

I'd stay here again for all the above. We had a room for three w/balcony over the street. Nice bathroom. Charming lobby. Nice people more

Titled as above since, "Don't do it!" was already taken. My husband and I laughed uncontrollably when we read the review that said this hotel would be good for a deaf person with no sense of smell. Yes, there was a sulphuric odour that seemed to permeate the hallways and come from the water. My husband was accosted by a... more

What a great location! The hotel is perfectly situated for exploring Barcelona, by day and by night. It was excellent value - for the location. The room was clean, quiet and had air-conditioning. It was perfect for a city break more

Booked this Hotel primarily because of location which was good. Our room was very spacious with a balcony overlooking the street. But we did see into the room internally behind us & I certainly would have not been happy there. So the varience in experiences reviewed here would indicate "It all depends on the room you get." Others have mentioned... more
