First the location is very nice but the hostel itself is not very good. Almost no Internet in the rooms and you have to go outside the room for Internet. The beds are very rough and the water in the shower was either too hot or too cold. Another surprise I had there is that i saw a small cockroach... More

Hostal is an average hotel.. Value for money is good and great location! The room is fine but it does not complete facility such as no power connection in the room i got. I was told this is due to renovation which should have been anticipated. Internet not very fast.

We arrived & forgot out ids, the guy behind reception was so unhelpful & just sat there saying 'sorry no ID no room' so I suggested we contact our 5 star hotel in Cambrils & have them email a colour scan copy which they did & all was sorted. The smell of the rooms were overpowered by bleach. The receptionist... More

Hostel in great location near La Rambla. Room overlooking street with balcony gives good view of church and surrounding street. Breakfast adequate. Staff friendly and facility for luggage storage.Would recommend if on a budget.

This hostel has a great location but the rooms are extremely basic. We booked a 4 bed room with Booking.com expecting to see the nice orange covers in the pictures. Instead we got 2 steel bunk beds, that squeaked every time someone one moved! It was a very small room with a chair and table for 1 person. There are... More

You should stay here. The place definitely exceeded my expectations for a hostel, with clean rooms and private bathroom, fast wifi, nice breakfast in the morning, and a great location just off of La Rambla.

location is good, undoubtedly, just off la ramblas near the bottom. Price was ok for that location. Hotel itself, well, dated and not particularly pleasing to the eye. The room we got looked onto some delapidated building, windows had railings on, and i dont mean of the ornate variety. Asked for another room, but what we were offered was worse... More

We have been there for 3 nights. No problem at all. We had an independent room with our on bathroom. We asked for a cot for our 2years old son and found it in the room. The location in perfect, clean room, average breakfast, a 10% discount for their restaurant and helpful staff. The only problem were teenagers that were... More

Myself and my family (4 adults) stayed here recently for 5 nights. Small but very clean rooms and bathrooms, air con, wifi and a varied and delicious breakfast. Just off La Rambla and very handy for the metro and port and a walk to the beach. Lots of great bars, cafés and restaurants within metres. Special thanks to one of... More

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
