I arrived in Barcelona at 11am, after flying for 16 hours. The room was not going to be ready until 3pm. The only choice was to walk around in the rain, or sit in the lobby. Nothing in the hotel was open to eat or get a beverage. So, we sat. The room was ok. I didn't like the lack... More

We stayed 6 nights at Silken Gran Hotel Havana in October 2014 with my husband on our 15th anniversary. The room was quiet, as we had asked, and very comfortable. Only the TV channel selection was not very good for a non-spanish guest, but that did not matter much. We thought that the breakfast was too pricey (19.50€/per a guest),... More

Stayed here for three nights in February. We booked a junior suite and it was really great. Lovely big bathroom (although shower over bath). Small sitting room separate to the bedroom and lovely big comfy bed. It was working walking distance of most of the major sites and a lovely leafy area to walk about. Go to the roof terrace... More

During my stay my first check in night was cancelled due to a missed flight. My booking site hotels.com informed me i would not be able to get a refund. Upon reaching the hotel with ease from the close by train station I was not greeted with amazing welcome but explained my situation involving missed flight and not being able... More

Me and my partner stayed here for 3 nights at the end of January/February for his birthday and cannot fault the place! We stayed on the 5th floor and the room was big, clean, quiet and had a huge and comfy bed! Plus all you can eat pastries and coffee's! You don't need to pay 19 euro for the breakfast... More

Lovely hotel, staff couldn't have been more efficient and attentive. We were up on the 6th floor (608) and had a fabulous balcony, would be great in the summer. Room was spotlessly clean and provided everything we could possibly have wanted, buffet breakfast (discounted if you opt for every morning) was just lovely (would've liked another one or 2 veggie... Our recent long week -end to Barcelona was enhanced by very welcoming staff at the hotel , friendly and happy to help. The standards of cleanliness are high, attention to detail and facilities are very good. The position of the hotel is central within walking distance to Casa Batllo. Short walk from Catalunya Square from where there are frequent Aerobuses... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
