4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

The highlights are: comfy beds, widescreen large TVs, quietness, good location, good breakfast, attentive staff, assorted toiletries... It is not quite a 5 star hotel because of some wear and tear, room space just OK, and price also OK (Barcelona good hotels are not cheap anyway) Overall, a good choice if you are in town.

I'm not a regular contributor but thought I would share my experience as some of the negative comments appeared over the top. The staff were very pleasant and the rooms were great for our 2 night stay. The breakfast was very good, minimal cooked items but large choice of other foods available. We booked the upgraded rooms on the fifth... More

Easy enough to find, but upon entering our room we found a stench of smoke. The staff were very accommodating and immediately got us another room. The rooms were spacious and clean. The rooftop bar and pool were great, if a little tight on space during the day.

It is located in Eixample about 10-15 Mins walk to Pl. Catalunya. The room was too dark and the window cannot be opened. Breakfast was really good, there is nothing to complain about it. Staff tried to ask for tourist/City tax although we paid it before thru Travel Agency where we booked. Taxis directly at the hotel.

A great place to stay if your want to explore the city of Barcelona. Located along Gran Via Corts Catalones is only 3 blocks away from Playa Catalunya. It's only 5 - 8 minutes leisurely walk along picturesque city with architecture to inspire to Playa Catalunya or to shopping along Passeig de Gracia. Likewise there are wonderful bistros and restaurant... More

Stayed over a week. Maids certain to enter room when ever out, but why good question as they didn't restock coffee service or towels! Had to ask for clean towels, wash cloths, toilet paper, soap. Last straw was their removing hotel slippers for no apparant reason as if they needed for another guest? Or tracking in dirt from balcony? OK... More

Well where to start! Myself and my partner booked here for a 4 night city break in Barcelona. We paid extra for an upgraded room and was put in a back corner first floor room with a balcony above a very noisy washroom. The CD player was hanging off the wall, we tried to put it back on the wall... More

Me and my girlfriend recently stayed in the Gran Havana hotel, I booked it as a surprise and payed extra for an upgraded room. When we checked into our room is was massively below standard! From being next to what seems to be some sort of laundry room right outside our window, holes in the wall with the CD player... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
