My 1st time in Barcelona, this hostel is in a great location, only 10 minutes walk from La Rambla, 30/40 minutes walk from the beach. Bars and restaurants and shops within walking distance. The nearest metro is just around the corner, this is good for getting around Barcelona and is good value at only 2.15 Euro for a single trip/9.95... More

The location was great, rooms were clean and staff was excellent. That said this hotel is very noise and loud with echoes. Even with earplugs it is impossible to block out. I would not recommended this for any light sleepers.

This hostel is about a 15 minute walk from Av Las Ramblas and is in a safe area. The rooms and bathrooms were newly refurbished and very comfortable. There was some street noise until about midnight but not excessive. There is an elevator to get to the rooms and also multiple bathrooms which were also newly refurbished and very clean.... More

Went to Barcelona on a one-week holiday. PP is a budget guesthouse. Thought I'd be getting a room with balcony, but instead there was a house wall a few yards across, so no view from my room. Asked for another room, but fully-booked. Oh well, location very good (Montjüic), close to subway and buses (Parallel), and not far from the... More

I have problem with reviewing this place, it's budget place I didn't expect much. Big plus is the location, close to Las Ramblas and port (about 12 min. walk), very close to metro station, area is full of cafes, restaurants, shops - generally nice and convenient. Hotel itself is very basic but clean, both room and shared bathroom (modern), bed... More

Really good, the room was modest but had everything what should have. The location was really really good 10 minutes maybe even less to the main streets of Barcelona. And what i important to say excellent customer service!

perfect for whoever wants a central base for visiting Barcelona; the rooms are small but clean, the bed was really comfortable, and the position is ideal, few steps from Paral.lel station on one of the main metro lines, perfect for having a place to sleep at night while exploring the city. Very good value for money!

Good: Great Price Great Desk Staff - greeted me by name and gave me tips for the area, as well as a map. While my room in the Pension was small, it was clean, had a fan, sink, tv - and even floor to ceiling doors to a small balcony. Facing the street, on a Friday evening in July, I... More

Staying in Montjuic

Neighborhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colorful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
