Stayed in the Cristal palace over the weekend and it was a very enjoyable stay. Its located beside a lot of nice restaurants and shops. Within walking distance to the city center and subway. The room was very clean and comfortable. Would definitely come back and stay.

I had a very comfortable stay in this hotel. It was conveniently located close to Plaza Catalunya and Passeo de Gràcia. The reception area was a little dated but the staff were very polite and helpful. My room was comfortable and well appointed. The bathroom was also slightly dated, but was perfectly clean and the toiletries and towels were good.... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for one night in December 2014. We were extremely satisfied with our experience, as the room was spacious and impeccably clean, as well as the bathroom and the hotel structure itself. Wi-Fi worked in the room. Location is excellent, a couple of minutes walk from the very central Plaza Catalunya. Staff was... More

The room was very small, but that's ok for a four-night stay when seeing Barcelona is what you really want. Wi-fi was ok, we were able to use Skype, but it was not excellent, disconnecting at times. The cleanliness, the toilet were great. They do the room every other day. As for TV, you have only 7 or 8 channels... More

Nice clean rooms, nice staff. Excellent location close to Plaça de Catalunya, lots of restaurants, shopping and places of interest nearby. The breakfast for 8€ is a very good value for money. The hotel has a private parking, which is indispensable in the city center. However it's narrow, so difficult for bigger cars. As a whole, a very nice experience.

I spent 3 nights there last week, and had an all right experience. The room was really nice and the cleaning too. The people at the reception were helpfull and professional. Breakfast was OK, but could have been better. The Wi-Fi however was just horrible. Almost no signal, and I wasn't able to work, as I has planned.

Have stayed here a couple of times over the past couple of years. Great location, close to major shopping area, decent restaurants, metro system, and buses to and from airport. Our room was very comfortable with its own thermostat to control room temp, provided breakfasts are excellent with a wide variety of food. In room safe requires deposit of twenty... More

This Hotel has major security issues. In my recent trip there, the bag of my wife, carrying passport, mobile phone and other valuables , of total value of more than 1,000 Euros was stolen from the breakfast room. It was a shock for us and after that I remembered that in my last stay in the same Hotel, another customer... More

No tea and coffee in the room. Fused the electrics when I plugged in a borrowed kettle. Floor stained and mould on the bath. Water when showering ranged from scalding to freezing. Room comfortable but too warm. Help-yourself breakfast - which is good.

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
