We booked this hotel for our second visit to Barcelona for it's location and mixture of period architecture and modern comforts. We were not disappointed - though at Christmas the lack of concierge made it difficult to find even though we had the right building as the rest of the building is private residential accommodation. The communal areas, outside patio... More

We booked Anba just by looking at a single photograph and review, we were not disappointed! The reception and welcome we received upon arrival was superb, very friendly and helpful. Our room was perfect, great size, incredibly clean and, had all of the amenities you would want. To sum it up, we cannot wait to stay here again! The location... More

We absolutely adored our stay at this small luxury hotel. The staff was wonderfully friendly and helpful. Rooms are elegant and spacious, super modern and spotlessly clean. As it is so small, it feels so private and exclusive, it's perfect to relax. No noises of guests leaving at 6 am..!!! It feels like a 5 star Hotel, though it's just... More

A good value and great location. Our room was quiet and well appointed and the public areas were welcoming and comfortable. The staff was lovely and very helpful. There is absolutely nothing negative to say other than it is such a hidden gem that taxi drivers have a difficult time finding it but once you are there it feels like... More

* We had an extremly nice room with drawings on the ceilings (--> see hotel fotos) * Very familiar ambiente especially for breakfast while sitting on the big table * Very close to the center city and a good starting point for exploring the city * Easy to reach by metro * Extremly friendly staff * When you enter the... Great location. Coffee/tea always available and fantastic breakfast with the possibility to have eggs home made at any manner of preference. The rooms were spacious and bathroom huge with plentiful storage. There was a lovely bath inside with place to sit next to eachother. Very relaxing. One minor thing was that there was some noice from the outside at night... More

Chic, quiet and intimate. Very accommodating staff. Great location. Coffee/tea always available and fantastic breakfast no matter your cultural preferences. For a European hotel, the rooms were spacious and bathroom huge with plentiful storage. Two minor comments because they might bother others - the climate control for the entire hotel was either on heat or A/C, but rooms are individually... More

Great value if you go in off-season, lovely ambiance, great attention to detail. One quibble - the rooms have the toilet attached (fine), but the door between the toilet and the room isn't a full door. Which means you hear a lot etc! But def would go back.

A group of ten of us (all couples) stayed here at the weekend - it was a brilliant choice! ANBA is literally around the corner from many of the sights you wish to see in Barcelona. The staff are very friendly and so helpful - thank you Jessica for the great recommendation from dinner on Friday - Casa Alfonso was... More

Lovely place, a refreshing change from the larger hotels, great staff, especially Allison (not sure of spelling) the Brazilian host who helped us book tickets and looked after us at breakfast. Re comments on the smell, well those who know Barcelona understand that it has a drainage problem, our room did have a smell, but we found that as soon... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
