La Isla Hostel was great; Fernando was really helpful and friendly, as were all of the staff. The apartment with a shared bathroom was very clean and had a welcoming feel. Our group had 2 rooms and both were really clean and bright, everything feels well looked after. All the beds were comfortable. The room with the terrace was wonderful,... More

I really enjoyed my stay at La Isla Hostel. The room was exactly like my expectations and the whole hostel was cleaned every morning. The booking includes towels, a small tube of shampoo, free usage of wifi and the fridge in the hall. The hostel also has an excellent location because the metro station "Arc de Triomfe" is just 3... Rooms were simple and clean, everything you need for a good city trip. Staff is friendly and helps you out when needed. They took care of our luggage after arriving early. Our bags were at the top floor when we came back for the room key.

If you are looking for cheap accommodation in Barca you can do a lot worse than La Isla. Friendly staff, great location for all sights and restaurants and it's very clean with helpful staff. It's nothing fancy but I wouldn't hesitate in coming back here on my next visit to the city.

We stayed at this hostal for 3 nights and found it to be quiet and relaxed. The guys that work there were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was a good size with a small balcony, very clean, as was the shared bathroom, I would say don't let the shared bathroom put you off, this is the 3rd shared bathroom... More

We stayed a night on a private room with its own bathroom. Besides the room was nice, it was completely humid. Not only you could feel it on the smell of the room but also observing that the bathroom was never dry! We think that this occured cause the rooms are all manufactured, so the bathrooms are not originally real... More

Thank you. We exactly don't know what is the relationship between a "manufactured bathroom" (in fact, we don't know what this concept is) and a "never dry" bathroom". As we don't understand what you mean with this, please send us an email explaining us what was the situation, specially the "manufactered bathroom" concept, we are very curious. Thank you! More

I stayed in la Isla hostal while travelling alone - this is a great place to stay if you want a clean, quiet, central hostel. FACILITIES: It is basic (as expected for the price) but facilities were good, with sink in each room, towel provided, TV etc. Bathrooms were very clean, the shower was hot and powerful (always good!), tea... I've stayed 3 nights in La Isla and had a great time. Perfect location, just 10-15 minutes from the Centre and 2 min to the nearest metro station. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful, gave me all the directions and tips I needed. Free Wi-Fi. Also great value for money. I will definitely... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
