We stayed at this hotel for one night only as we were traveling through Barcelona. We picked it mainly for the location as it was convenient to the main train station and the airport and it had a car garage attached, all of which we needed (I had some trouble getting out of the garage as the doors are operated... We stayed at Hotel Grums for one night prior to our cruise. The staff was very nice and did their best to get the room ready as early as possible. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. It was nice to be able to have one room for our family of 4. While the street is residential,... More

Amazing hotel, one reason more to love Barcelona! Their slogan is “Muy Barcelona” and that nails it to the point: modern and very stylish 4* hotel with all the lux and amenities that go along, but without the cold and impersonal atmosphere that you sometimes get with design hotels. You feel at home instantly. Reception staff were really friendly and... More

We stayed for 4 days and really enjoyed our stay. Right from the beginning the hotel service was great. We were granted access to the Spa as part of our stay and were also given an early check in. When we checked in, the receptionist was amazing giving us a good idea of what to see and visit on our... More

This hotel was better than expected - very modern inside and spacious rooms. The locations is great and is about a 5 minute walk to the nearest underground station Paral-lel, where there is a nice square with some nice little places to eat and drink. A walk to las Ramblas takes around 15 minutes and is straightforward to get to.... More

The hotel was exactly as advertised. Great location with easy access to Las Ramblas, subway system, cruise port and a mountain park with waking paths 1/2 block from hotel. We would recommend this hotel to friends.

June 2015. The room we booked was for two beds, upon arriving I reiterated the need for two beds. The room was actually a triple, 1 king bed 2 singles right next to one another. I immediately went back the desk because the 2 singles were separate beds and therefore you couldn't sleep in them as one. Given a new... More

Visited this hotel as a gift to my boyfriend for his birthday. We only stayed for 2 nights but this was one of the nicest well kept hotels we've been to, and the price was insane! I payed £100 for the two nights and would say this is a 4* hotel. There is a spa and restaurant inside but we... More

We stayed here as a family for one night on either side of a 12 day cruise. Hotel was great with setting us up with taxis and with local area activities. They spoke both Spanish and English at the front desk which was a big help. One the first day, we arrived early from our flight and our rooms were... More

Staying in Montjuic

Neighborhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colorful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
