After reading the review from the week before my stay, I was very concerned. If it weren't for the photos, I'd think we had stayed at different hotels. The staff was pleasant and helpful. This establishment is a filthy, tatty, noisy, unsafe dump, and most of the staff are inept and incompetent in the extreme. stayed there for one night. the walls are paper thin. for a four star hotel not to have european/us converters doesnt' make sense to me. it's in a decent location if you like being close to las ramblas. the rooms are darkly spec'd out, from the dark mahogany built in cabinets/shelves to the dark marble baths. seems a bit outdated.... more
