Just got back from a stay here with my boyfriend. Booked online after reading positive trip advisor reviews, and it does not disappoint. Great location(we were able to walk to the Sagrada Familia, La Pedrera, La Rambla, Casa Battlo, and were right by Passeig de Gracia) and also easy to get to the Aerobus and tour buses. Clean, modern interior... More

My wife and I stopped at the Khronos during a short visit to Barcelona, I picked it mainly on the strength of its TA reviews and have to say, I was not disappointed! The word "hostal" can be misleading, this is very much a hotel and you get pretty much all the trimmings you would expect. The welcome: Good! clear,... More

My boyfriend and I came to stay in March. The room was made spic and span each day, the hotel staff friendly and helpful...the location excellent. Being able to take breakfast on the terrace was an added bonus. I love Barcelona and although it was my 5th visit, Ingrid, Adam and Lee told us some hidden gems which are close... More

Hostal Boutique Khronos was an overall great place to stay! Very modern and hip atmosphere, that is welcoming to all types of travelers. The hotel was very clean yet comfortable. Rooms were nice sized and very clean. There was also a dining area with comfy seats where breakfast was served. Coffee/tea/water/cups etc. were all available throughout the day which was... More

We stayed for 5 nights over Christmas and New Year. Brilliant location, lovely, clean & pleasant place to stay. Amazingly cheap prices - Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends. The hostel is owned and run by British people so asking about where to go and what to do was no problem. The place is located within 5 mins... More

My friend and i stayed here for three nights during January, we were pleasantly surprised upon arrival that the staff were english and that we didn't have to mime our way through checking in! We had a twin room and the beds were so comfortable. The en-suite bathroom was spotless, we couldn't believe our luck, we paid 80 euro between... More

Great find!! Hidden amongst the heart of Eixamples grid like classic streets, lies a gem. Attentive, friendly and informative staff Decent sized rooms, impeccably decorated with mod cons required. You want beer, pizzas, sandwich, breakfast? I challenge you to find cheaper prices . Beer 1 euro, bottle of wine 4.5 euro. Pizza 6 euro Lovely little roof terrace which would... More

We stayed here for 5 nights in December after finding a great value deal on Expedia. A fantastic choice for us as the location was perfect to get to everything we wanted to see. The hotel is within walking distance to La Rambla, Arc de Triomf, Park de Ciutadella, Barcelona Catedral, Santa Maria Del Mar. We also walked to the... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
