I went to Barcelona with my little girl and had the best time. The hostel is very clean with modern decor and modern shower rooms. The terrace is great and a total sun trap. The location is brill it took under 10mins to push the buggy to the rambles or the big park past the arc de triumph. We got... More

Even before we arrived, we were helped by Joana and Mariana with booking of a shuttle from the airport and giving us all the information we needed to prepare for our visit to Barcelona. We received a warm welcome and information about every aspect of our visit once we were there, including printing of tickets for museums. The hostel is... More

Although a little difficult to find on the street, this was totally forgotten when we walked into the hostel. The receptionists were so warm, helpful and friendly (and they stayed this way throughout our entire stay) and when combined with the quality of the rooms and bathroom, Ella was a great place to stay in Barcelona. Pretty good location, super... More

We stayed here for 3 nights. Reception was really helpful and gave us heaps of advice on where to go and what to do. We stayed in a private room with ensuite. The room itself was massive but very odd, we had a shower in the corner of the room and a separate room for the toilet and sink. Location... More

Booked online for 4 nights and were really pleased when we arrived. We were welcomed very warmly and all of the staff were extremely helpful in answering any questions we had! The hostel was very clean and warm (we went in the middle of January), and it was a nice touch that breakfast was included for free - croissants, bread... More

We stayed 2 nights in a twin room at this nice hostel in the center of Barcelona. The hostel is located in a nice house close to the old town which is a 10mn walk away. The rooms and bathrooms are clean, colorful and renovated. A small breakfast with coffee and tea is included. The best part of the hostel... More

Stumbled across this gem online and were so glad we did! The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and well-intentioned to make the best possible trip! They gave us great tips on where to go and eat (off the beat and path - which we really appreciated). The rooms had recently been redecorated and were very simplistic, yet stylish and comfortable.... We really enjoyed our stay at the Violetta (Ella) hostel. It is close to transport and we could walk to La Ramblas. The staff are so friendly and went out of their way to help us. Nice breakfast and hot drinks provided all day. The hostel is spotlessly clean, and has a lovely terrace area. It is also in a... More

This hostel has now changed its name to Ella. The rooms are clean and linen changed daily. Hot drinks are readily available at all times and the staff are very friendly and hard-working. The bathroom facilities are fine, although based within the room. There is a lovely terrace area to relax aling with a small lounge area. A great place... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
