Place is not too fancy, but it has everything you need for a nice and pleasent stay. It is located in a nice neighbourhood, so you can walk from Rambla by foot at night. Hosts are wonderful and if needed will help you regarding all the questions.

Firstly my 5* is for this being a hostel not a hotel. On saying this I must say it is like staying in an excellent hotel without the facilities , ie., no TV & shared bathroom. Ella is a great place to stay a few hundred yards from Tetuan Metro station. Our double room was large & had a small... More

This was my first stay in a hostel and I have been booking into them ever since! I don`t know what I expected but Ella Hostel was absolutely immaculate! The room was spacious, we had a bunk bed, our own sink ,wardrobe and a fan- which was greatly appreciated! Then there were shared bathrooms which were stunning and very clean!... More

Close to metros and all the sites. We were upgraded the first night to a beautiful apartment the first night because we arrived late. Nothing was too much trouble for the ladies running this hostel. Our room was large and comfortable and WiFi good.

I booked this trip as a surprise for my boyfriends birthday. I had never stayed in a hostel before but he had and knew he wasn't particularly picky, and I was pleasantly surprised! The hostel ..was basically a hotel just with shared bathrooms (which were exceptionally clean may I add). I would happily stay here again - 10 minute walk... More

A really lovely and cosy hostel which is situated in the perfect location for all attractions and is right on a metro stop! Just off the hustle and bustle of the main streets there are great, cheap bars and tapas in the area which is great to get away from the touristy vibe. All around an amazing hostel experience, made... More

We loved everything about it! From the moment we entered the door and met one of the girls on the reception, I was sure we are at the right place. The interior was simple and cosy, very nicely picked.. Oh and the patio! This was the perfect place to relax after the long (but amazing) days exploring Barcelona. Also perfect... More

Absolutely fantastic stay! After this experience I won't go back to 4 or 5 stars hotel, which is usually the case. Receptionist were like "moms" for us, always ready to give advices. Enjoy a chicha with a bottle of wine on the nice patio for 10 euros. We took the superior room with Italian shower.

The place is really clean, feels more like a B&B than a hostel and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They also serve a small free breakfast in the morning consisting of tea/coffee, toast and jam. If you want a little something extra, you can buy some food from the supermarket and keep it in the fridge. Being located... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
