I stayed one night in this place. It is so beautifully decorated you feel you are living in a fancy flat in old times. Very clean. This is part of the place the owners live so they are always available and extremely helpful and nice. The lady in charge is called Monse and she is so classy and professional. Breakfast... More

Beautiful B&B, if you want authentic this is the place to visit. Upgraded for free, allowed to use the room all day on our last day at no extra cost. Our host Montse is a warm friendly and welcoming lady that made us feel we had known her for years and even the dogs were happy to see us (I... More

We sadly just had one night at Montse's beautiful home (and just one extremely high quality breakfast). Montse was incredibly welcoming and helpful, the location of the apartment is great and we slept wonderfully. Highly recommended.

Best to see this place as a homestay rather than a typical B&B as these are a few rooms to let within an apartment in the first floor of an old-style block in the heart of Barcelona. Facilities are sparse but the hostess is caring and helpful. Good for older couples who prefer a home rather than a hotel atmosphere... More

La Casa Gran is a very cozy and well kept B&B, great for our 3 days stay in Barcelona. We liked the fact that it was very accessible by public transportation. The attractions and shopping districts are of close proximity from its location. It is in a very trendy and commercial area but it still has a homey and private... More

La Casa Gran B&B Boutique is just perfect for a short or long stay. Montse is a real gem! She is very polite, generous. Every day breakfast was different: the most expensive Jamon Iberico was always present and that was marvellous! Different cookies, cakes, tartas, etc., freshly squeezed orange juice… We did not want to leave the table because it... More

A fabulous spot for those who are looking for an authentic and comfortable place to stay, situated in the very center of the city but in a quiet area. Creatively designed interior and warm hosts made our stay memorable. Little number of rooms assures a quiet and tranquil atmosphere during the stay. Although we arrived very late at night Montse... La casa gran had been a wonderful bnb experience. Their owners are just outrageously nice and I felt at home from the moment I stepped in. The place is wonderfully decorated with artsy and post-industrial furniture.

We have just returned from 6 nights at La Casa Gran B&B. We received a warm welcome and we were shown to our lovely spacious superior room. We had been a bit concerned about the noise in the street but with the shutters shut at night and the fan on we both had no problems at all. The bathroom was... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
