Montse, the innkeeper, truly made our stay at this lovely B&B a very special one. The location cannot be beat as it is within walking distance of many sights and has a stop on the hop-on bus located on the street right outside - very convenient. The apartment itself has loads of character and you are made to feel as... More

We were there for 2 nights. Well located if you want to walk in different parts of town. We did it all the way to the Barceloneta. It is also a great location for different tapas bar. Montse was so nice and always available; she also provided us with a map with few restaurants she recommends. Breakfast (cold) was very... More

My husband and I stayed at La Casa Gran for 2 days. Our room was spotless and the breakfasts were wonderful. Good variety of fresh sweet rolls, bread, ham, cheese, cereal and fruit juice, coffee and tea. It was located close to restaurants and sightseeing. There is an underground station and bus stations close to it. The area is quite... More

We spent 4 nights at this B&B in the heart of Barcelona. Montse's hospitality is incomparable; she did everything possible to make us feel at home. And, we did feel at home at La Casa Gran; staying at her place is one of the nicest memories of our Barcelona trip. To my 7-year old neice, Barcelona trip is the highlights... More

Montse made us feel like we were "home" in Barcelona. She greeted us by name, helped us settle in,provided us with a hand-written detailed map, loaned us beach towels, worked breakfast around our schedules, and made us feel like we were an important and welcome part of her family. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Easy walk to everything... More

After our cruise on the new Regal Princess we arrived in Barcelona and to our delight stayed at La Casa Gran. Montse is a wonderful hostess and made us feel right at home assisting us with recommendations and helping us with Skip the Line reservations for La Sagrada Família. It was a joy to meet her. The rooms, the artwork,... More

A unique and ideal location. The hop on and off bus was literally across the street. Montse was so kind and helpful Our short time in Barcelona would not have been as remarkable without her help! Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Super clean and very artsy place. Intimate place with only 4 rooms. Italian restaurant close... More

We've stayed here for our visit to Barcelona. The hostess is very helpful and gave us several tips for places to visit/eat. Very good location nearby all major atractions. 20min walking to Las Ramblas very close to Paseio da Gracia. Breakfast was very tastefull with fruits, bread, cheese, hams and fresh orange juice. Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
