Fantastic location and lovely, modern flat. We stayed in the duplex which was perfect for two. After long walks visiting Barcelona we were glad to be on the first floor! Great price and very friendly hostess. Highly recommended!

My partner an I chose to stay in casa de l'argent at the beginning of September and couldn't have chosen a better place! The apartment itself was stunning, it was well equipped with everything you need, and furnished to a high standard. Location was perfect for us walking distance to most places, including the beach, and a metro at the... More

I travelled to Barcelona for business for one week and my husband joined for the weekend. This flat was in a perfect location for those wanting to explore Barcelona on foot--it is within walking distance to las Ramblas, placa Catalunya, Ciutadella, beaches (not only Barceloneta, but quieter beaches like Bogatell). For those experienced Barcelona visitors, the flat is in an... More

We loved the location of the apartment but if you book make sure that you check which floor you are on, there were 65 steps to our apartment and there is another above that. It wasn't a problem for us but could be for some. The apartments are maybe 100 yards from Santa María del Mar which makes everything within... More

Our stay here was the perfect ending to our trip to Europe. The apartment was beautiful and staff was so friendly! So inexpensive and more than worth it. The street the hotel is located on is lively with restaurants and shops and right down the block from Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar. Metro stop is very close as well.... More

This is a great place to stay. Reading other reviews I would possibly agree that yes, it can was a little noisy but we were there during the Festival de La Mercè - the timing was quite by accident. We wouldn't have missed the experience for anything though! It's a superb location in the gothic quarter so there was no... More

Booked to stay over two nights.arrived on the 27th November 2012 and got there at 7.25pm knowing there was an extra charge if arriving after 8pm. It was raining cats and dogs but still took three telephone calls to get a person to let us in the apartment 20 minutes later. Felt hustled as I booked using my credit card... More

You simple cannot beat the location or price of this flat in the El Born section of Barcelona; within walking distance to almost everything. We stayed in the Saba unit of the building which is over 400 years old but beautifully renovated with 2 French door balconies so you can watch the action in the street below. The rental agent... We stayed in the Potosi apartment for four nights in the beginning of May. The apartment is beautiful and looks exactly like the photos on their website. It's got a full kitchen, washer/dryer, free wifi, great a/c and heater, etc. It was so nice to have a living room and eating area in addition to the bedroom, for less than... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
