Barcelona Central Garden was a great place to stay if a big family style welcome is what you are after! From check in to check out the staff do everything they can to make sure you know the best places in the city to visit and where to go and when for the best value. They know you by name... More

Stayed 2 nights in November 2014, solo female traveller. Stayed in a Economy Twin Room with bunk bed. The price came to less than 50 euros a night. I followed the directions given on the website to travel by train to Passieg de Gracia station and walked to the street where the hostel was on. It was not really difficult... More

We had a lovely stay at this hostel for 5 days. The staff are wonderful, they are extremely helpful and friendly, and always there to give you a hand and advice on what to do, where to eat. The hostel has a very homely feel, a nice common area, clean rooms and bathrooms, good wifi everywhere too. There is no... More

I stayed for 5 nights and I swear this the cleanest most respectful hostel I have ever been to. Lovely helpful staff. I was having an issue mapping my walk to the train station on my phone and the gentleman who cleans the hostel helped me and actually carried my bag to the train station! So incredibly kind! Great place!

This place was truly amazing. I started off hesitant because I had a problem finding the place (scaffold is right in front of the door blocking the sign). The instructions they do send to your e-mail does tell you exactly how to get there (I just didn't read the e-mail close enough), what you should buy at the metro station... More

Due to the high ranking I was expecting better. I had stayed at a hostel in Berlin in 2011(Circus Hostel) and realized that hostels are not what they used to be. They could be very nice and more akin to a hotel. At BCG we had the superior room with en suite bath. This included a TV and AC. The... More

I hesitate to call this a "hostel." Two fellow university-age friends and I had a wonderful four night stay here in a 5-bed shared room. Location is perfect: five minute walk from the main street, Passeig de Gràcia (where the train from the airport stops), and a very easy walk to the Rambla and the port. The rooms and bathrooms... I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and Central Garden. I visited last year and met some great people here. It is not a party hostel but it has a lovely atmosphere, staff is really friendly, especially Karen who made so much effort to make us feel welcome and took us out each night. Location of the hostel is great, rooms are... More

Short review: Very safe, excelent location, clean, the staff is awesome (they can recommend great places to eat and great free tours), not expensive at all. This hostel is every thing you're looking for.

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
