My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights. When we first walked into the building we were very worried - it was undergoing a huge renovation project so the hallway looked like an abandoned building site and the stairs were cordoned off. However once we took the lift up to the first floor and entered the hostel our minds... More

This is one of the best places we stayed in Europe (including some hotels) very central, excellent city tour given on arrival, lovely clean room (and a free upgrade too). Fab kitchen facilities and super friendly staff. Highly recommended!

The staff was great, the location was very convenient. The room sizes were small, but comfortable. You can only pay cash, which I thought was a bit off. I traveled with a group and they had a great stay, their shared rooms were okay... but my room was tiny and had a little window facing the elevator shaft.

From the second we walked in, the staff could not be more helpful, giving us local tips and a map of what to do while we were there as well as upgrading our room for free! The flats themselves are a good size, with decent kitchens. I left a pair of earrings there after, but they sent it onwards for... More

I was travelling with my mum In Barcelona, we stayed for about 6 nights. We booked the double room with ensuite. The hostel was very clean and comfortable. The staff were great, always friendly and extremely helpful. The 24 hr reception service was perfect and meant that we didn't need to worry about what time we got home. I was... More

Stayed in a 6 person dorm for 6 nights and I didn't want to leave. This hostel is very relaxed and clean. The kitchen is fully equipped. The bunks were comfortable and each had a light and a power outlet. Sometimes there was a bit of a wait for the toilet or the shower, but nothing too bad. There were... More

I stayed here for three nights in June, 2015. My niece and I shared a room in front with 2 twin beds and a private bath two flights of stairs from the street.. The room was large, sunny and very clean, and the noise issues were solved by using the air conditioner. Wifi was excellent, as was the very nice... More

We stayed 3 nights at BCG. BCG is located just one block away from Gran Via and a couple of blocks from Passeig de Garcia making it very accessible via train from the airport. It was close enough to the Block of Discord, Placa de Catalunya, La Ramblas etc for us to walk everywhere. BCG is a family run hostel... More

Stayed there on a mixed 5-bed shared room for 3 days and had a really nice time. Even though the bad was shared, it was always clean and tidy. The hostel has a super friendly and truly international staff (speaking several languages) who is always willing to help the guests. Will go back to BCN next time I am in... More

Really lovely place: clean, well placed, convenient. The owners are exceptionally friendly and welcoming and are very helpful with their recommendations and all the information they share with their guests. Lots of activities organised. Nice terrace. Small but perfectly functioning kitchen. Couldn't fault this place for anything. Thank you Alessia, hope to be back soon.

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
