Staff makes real effort to get people together. First night, they organized a paella dinner at a local restaurant along with suggesting a flamenco performance. Ended up hanging out with the same people for a while. Nice accommodations: hot showers, clean bathrooms, and plenty of space in the dorms. Fast WiFi and free coffee/tea. Convenient location for exploring the town.... More

I stayed here for 5 nights and absolutely love this place. Instantly felt welcome with awesome staff who are very friendly and caring, and even hung out with us! Modern clean interiors, love the bathrooms. It's situated in a central location, 5 min from Passeig de Gracia and close to all the buses and metro stations, but it's so central... More

Stayed 3 nights. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We were there after finishing Camino de Santiago and they gave us some discount. What a treat! Rooms were clean and tidy. We were a bit concerned about sharing the bathrooms with all the people there (the place was packed), but had no problem. Good location. Shared our room with two... More

We were somewhat nervous having never stayed in a hostel with our three kids before, but it was perfect and really good value! Good for the kids to see a different side to traveling. The staff at BCG could not have been more helpful, assisting with transport info, parking etc even before our arrival. We arrived really late at night... More

I cannot even describe the amazing hospitality offered by the Staff of Barcelona Central Garden. After being away from home for some time, I felt like I had come home. The arrangement of the hostel was great, widely available kitchens, comfortable rooms, and bonus it has just been upgraded! We were very lucky to get an amazing room, that was... More

There's hardly a bad thing I can say about BCG. The staff were friendly and helpful and always happy to give advice and answer questions when asked. When checking in they give you a map and give you a rundown on pretty much everything you might want to see and do in Barcelona which was super handy. They can also... More

I have stayed at Barcelona Central Garden a number of times - most recently in December last year - and have absolutely loved every occasion I have been a guest here. The accommodation is, in my opinion, the best hostel accommodation I've ever stayed in. It's comfortable and welcoming, immaculately clean and their are two separate living areas for socializing... Excellent Hostel. All the people is very kind, the rooms are very comfortable. You have very good bathrooms and all is working. There is no breakfast but you have free tea and coffee. The kitchen is excellent and you have a very good common room. In fact one day we have dinner in the living room of the Hostel and... More

This hostel has everything that a traveller could ask for... Cleanliness, Knowledgeable Staff, Proximity to almost all tourist hubs and most importantly a homely atmosphere. . But before i go on and about the great time i spent here i would like to highlight some improvement areas as well. 1. The blankets were too small for my height. . I... More

Whenever I need a quick break from my day to day life I tend to hop on a plane and go to Barcelona. And ever since my first trip there I have always been staying at the Central Garden Hostel. If you're not convinced by the 257 other excellent ratings for this place, let me add my 258th! BCG not... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
