Amazing big airy room with nice matching sheets and great airconditioning. Super nice, fresh and clean bathrooms and a big, clean kitchen. The staff is amazing helpful and nice (and have a great restaurant recommendation for paella!)

The best thing about CG is not the location (as perfect as it is!), it's not the lovely terrace where one can escape the busy Barcelona streets and meet fellow travellers from all corners of the globe, it's not even the excellent value for money. The best thing about BCG is the staff...they go out of their way to make... More

This is probably the best budget accommodation I have ever stayed at among many others across Europe. The central location, cleanliness, staff friendliness and the fact that it is oriented for genuine solo travellers were all a big plus. Not a party hostel by any means. Prior to arrival I was sent an email with all the necessary information on... More

I arrived at the hostel at 12 o’clock midday and with renovations of the foyer and stairs going on the owner came down and helped me up to the bedroom with my heavy bags. I believe the new lift is working so I can only see that this would assist your decision to choose the best hostel in Barcelona. On... More

I was pretty disappointed with this place. First of all, if you want a towel you have to pay 1.5 euros to use one. I've stayed in a LOT of hostels, and this is the first time I've ever been asked to pay for it. (Usually you can make a deposit and return the towel for your money). The beds... More

I stayed at the bcg hostel for 6 nights with a friend of mine. We booked a 2 bed dorm with shared sanitations. We could check in straight away (we arrived around 11am) even though they write on their homepage that the check in is possible after 1pm only. The staff is amazingly friendly. They give you a map of... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights. When we first walked into the building we were very worried - it was undergoing a huge renovation project so the hallway looked like an abandoned building site and the stairs were cordoned off. However once we took the lift up to the first floor and entered the hostel our minds... More

This is one of the best places we stayed in Europe (including some hotels) very central, excellent city tour given on arrival, lovely clean room (and a free upgrade too). Fab kitchen facilities and super friendly staff. Highly recommended!

The staff was great, the location was very convenient. The room sizes were small, but comfortable. You can only pay cash, which I thought was a bit off. I traveled with a group and they had a great stay, their shared rooms were okay... but my room was tiny and had a little window facing the elevator shaft.

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
