I stayed here for three nights in June, 2015. My niece and I shared a room in front with 2 twin beds and a private bath two flights of stairs from the street.. The room was large, sunny and very clean, and the noise issues were solved by using the air conditioner. Wifi was excellent, as was the very nice... More

We stayed 3 nights at BCG. BCG is located just one block away from Gran Via and a couple of blocks from Passeig de Garcia making it very accessible via train from the airport. It was close enough to the Block of Discord, Placa de Catalunya, La Ramblas etc for us to walk everywhere. BCG is a family run hostel... More

Stayed there on a mixed 5-bed shared room for 3 days and had a really nice time. Even though the bad was shared, it was always clean and tidy. The hostel has a super friendly and truly international staff (speaking several languages) who is always willing to help the guests. Will go back to BCN next time I am in... More

Really lovely place: clean, well placed, convenient. The owners are exceptionally friendly and welcoming and are very helpful with their recommendations and all the information they share with their guests. Lots of activities organised. Nice terrace. Small but perfectly functioning kitchen. Couldn't fault this place for anything. Thank you Alessia, hope to be back soon.

I loved staying in Central Garden. It felt really comfortable and the staff were so welcoming! The debrief they gave me when I arrived was so useful! Everything was really clean. The location was perfect. I walked most places. I would also highly recommend the free walking tour that leaves from the hostel every day.

Clean, Cozy & Comfortable. Great Location. Super helpful and lovely staff. Free Tea, Coffee & Water and can use the kitchen. Its more like a family environment than a hostel. I felt i was staying in a cozy bed & breakfast. Made new friends and had a lot of fun!

Close to Gaudi's houses and a short metro ride away from all other attractions. Friendly bars nearby and a lovely terrace in the hostel. Staff very friendly and helpful and computers available to use for free.

As all the other reviews have said, this hostel is fantastic! We had quite an ordeal getting there and arrived around 1am. We were greeted with a lovely, warm welcome. When we asked if there was anywhere open so we could get some food the owners made us toast with salami and cheese, and a cup of tea! Our double... More

I have never been made to feel so at home when staying at a hostel; the staff were extremely welcoming. You're right in the downtown when you stay here, and they will have days worth of suggested attractions. Also, they organized events to attend like dinner and fandango. A lovely place!

Summary: By far the best hostel I've ever stayed at (I've travelled significantly throughout the world). Rated #1 on trip advisor for a reason. I stayed in the 6 bed dorm room for 4 nights. The best feature are the staff - when I checked in, Alesia spent close to 50 minutes telling me exactly about all the attractions, the... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
