GOOD THINGS: Room clean, warm and silent with tv. Check in reception 24 h. Personal at the reception is very kind. Strategical position at a very economic price! Aerobus is 5 minutes walking distance from the hostal. Metro right down in the square. Many nice cafè right dow like Bracafè very famous and historic cafè and many others. BAD THINGS:... More

Old, dusty room, thin walls let you hear the neighbors and smell their cigarettes. Wi-Fi didn't reach to room. Much better things are available for this price. Was able to cancel remainder of reservation and go somewhere else.

Mattresses and beds full of bugs, MANY MANY FAT BUGS! The sheets had hair and pubic hairs. Towels useless without absorption capacity. The bathrooms were disgusting and stinking, the plastic curtains of the showers had and indeterminated and unknown color and WERE VERY VERY FILTHY! The "Staff" (some kind of employees) were useless (blind eye and intentional misunderstandings). This Hostal... More

The hostel is very close to many monuments and sightseeing places in Barcelona. The Metro station in right in front of the door. The place is a little bit hard to find because the are no big signs in front door. Personel should speak english in order to communicate with customers. We had some skin itches during our stay there,... More

Its not that bad it was clean (with a dodgy shower), and the location was excellent about 5 minutes from Placa De Catalunuya, and apart from one miserable Chinese person the staff were good, it is hard to find, and should de better advertised, as the street numbers appear to be haphazard, easiest way to locate it is to find... My stay in this hostel was terrible. The employer does not speak any language, a part of Spanish. Some times she looked drunk, she is stand-offish and does not care about the customers. The informative notes English translations are totally illegible. The toilet was infected with mold. The common spaces in the hostels smell horrible. The stores and windows in... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
