Okay, so the only negative comment is staff not very friendly - but then again, neither were they unfriendly. I think the best way to describe them would be lifeless. Other than that, everything was great. Location 10/10, cleanliness 10/10, vfm 10/10..Its a hostal but to be honest if they called themselves a hotel I don't think you'd be complaining.... More

The location couldn't be better - right on Las Ramblas! The guys on reception were pleasant and efficient. We were given a very small room and when I asked if they had one on a higher floor, as I'd requested in the booking, they immediately gave us the key to a larger room on a higher floor. The room was... More

But dubious about using a 'Hostal' as always use hotels, but price difference if over £300 for five nights made me give it a go thanks to positive words from other reviewers. The welcome was warm and the room absolutely spotless. Lovely powerful shower and lots of hot water. Decent hairdryer. Beds comfortable. Thanks to good double glazing the room... More

Loved this place !! In the middle of Las RAMBLA, but as mentioned in previous reviews, it's very quiet !! Spotlessly clean, friendly staff, and a fast wifi connection, balcony overlooking the RAMBLA, which was real cool ! if go back, We'll stay there again for sure

The location is unbelievable! Right on Las Ramblas, almost in the middle. We were surprised we didn't hear any street noise, however the internal walks are thin so we could hear loud talking and people walking around. No lift to the first floor so you have to carry your bags up but then there is a lift to go further.... More

This two star review is not meant as a criticism, just an observation that it is a two star place. You get a small room with a bed and shower (and small tv although I never turned it on to see what was available). The staff is not friendly or helpful but they did hold my luggage until I checked... Great location in the city center. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was small but nice and clean. All you need for a weekend in Barcelona! We can not comment on the breakfast because we didn't have breakfast at the hotel. We can recommend this hotel for a trip to Barcelona.

This is the second time I came for a vacation in Barcelona. And it couldn't be better then this. Initially we had a room some place else that was horrible. Then we were recommended from another hostel to come here. From the second we got here they were more than accommodating. We needed a room for 4 nights but they... More

We stayed at this hostel for 3 nights. The hostal is very close to Liceu metro station, so it is too easy to use the transportation to reach everywhere. Although the hostal is located on La Rambla (Very big and touristic street),the rooms are very quiet. Rooms are moderate (not so big or small) But they do not have any... More

Staying in La Rambla

Neighborhood Profile
La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-meter boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetizing selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
