Feels like staying at your best friend's home.. Marion, the owner, is really friendly and informative.. So comfortable, the bedroom is nice, the bathroom is very clean (Marion cleans it every time :D) The location's PERFECT, i repeat, PERFECT. Just a few steps to La Rambla. I recommend this hostel to people who prefer a quite, clean, and homy hostel... More

We booked this accommodation at the last minute, as we were to be in Barcelona two days later, and as it turned out, in the middle of the end of summer festival. Marion and her daughter, Tamara, were most welcoming and keen to provide information about what we should see and where we should go, and the place was spotless... More

This guesthouse was a clean and affordable option for my cousin and I in Barcelona. Pension Nevada is located 2 minutes walk from the Gothic Quarter and metro stop. The airport bus also drops you off around the corner from the guesthouse- very convenient. Marion was extremely helpful in providing directions and advice. She also has a very efficient system... My friend and I stayed at pension nevada for 3 nights during a weekend in April and we absolutely loved it! Marion greeted us with loads of information on what's nearby and what we should be aware of. She was very honest with us upon arriving that there was something wrong with the heater so there was no hot water,... More

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
