This hostel has one of the best entrances ever, its such a Victorian style building but too bad it doesn't have an elevator for the long night drunk come ins. Anyhow, they have one of the best FREE internet connections I ever experienced (better than any 5 stars hotel). Jose and the other receptionist (from Venzuella) are lovely and very... More

It is a stinky smoker hostel. There were no free towels. No free laggage left. No bike rent was available. Very loud at night. Small rooms. Not very clean. We can´t recommend this accomodation. Stay was in August 2014.

This hostel was just fun experience. Built in a historic building in the heart of the city. When you go in from this little wooden door from Carrer Ample you can't even imagine that this place is a hostel. Our room was small but there was everything you need for such a cheap price: cozy bed and working fan. Bathrooms... More

We arrived around 19h00, No name on the porch door. We had to wait for some travelers to come in and open the door for us. We were requested to pay immediately in cash which I did and then were shown not a bedroom but a closet with no windows ! When I complained and refused the room we were... More

    1) No fans in the room, got them replaced two times, still did not work. Had to run around each time, no staff available to do the work. Oh, I forgot, there is no customer service. 2) Looks very much like an illegal hostel. Name of hostel not mentioned anywhere on the property. Ample 24 is a property with no... More

I would never recommend this place to anyone. It felt like we were staying in a CRACK HOUSE! Worst place ever! My brother and I arrived around 1230am at the hostel. This hostel is on a sketchy street. People are standing outside and staring at you as walk down the street and as you wait outside the address of this... More

This hostel was wonderful! The accomodations were perfect and we were close to the majority of what we wanted to see. The nightlife in the gothic quarter is superb and the architecture is outstanding! Very close to the underground if you want to get somewhere farther! :)

My experience at Blue hostel was pleasant but not fantastic. The location was prefect, it was only a short walk to Las Rambles & there were plenty of great little restaurants along the street that were open late & the overall proximity to things in Barca was fantastic! There are a few downsides which I am not going to shy... More

    Neighborhood Profile
    Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.

We are a brand new hostel with a different concept, small but with big and comfortable rooms. You will absolutely feel at home because it’s really quiet and silent. The building is a modernist palace situated in the centric “Gótico” district and the best thing of all, it’s only two blocks from the famous “Rambla”. The beach, “Arc Del Triumph' and the “Liceu” theatre you can find them within 15 minutes. As well as the Picasso museum, “Port Vell” and the Colon promenade. ... more   less
