The staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to help (however I must note upon reading the reviews I am surprised at a staffs response to the person who gave it a 2 star is very off putting and unprofessional.) The good: there were several different staff when I was staying and they were all very kind, the... More

When we arrived at Backpackers BCN Casanova, we were greeted by a large open area central to a 5 or 6 dorms. There was a large communal kitchen and cosy living area with a TV complete with games and movies. There were a few shower rooms and a few bathrooms which made it quite easy for the small hostel to... So I decided to treat myself with a Barcelona weekend, but as I am traveling more and more, budget also matters. I came up with this hostel through a travel blog, and found a lot of positive reviews. This is gonna be one of those too! Hostel was very cheap in my opinion, especially considering the location. Only 2 mins... More

clean, quiet, in a perfect position to visit the city, very kind staff and really low cost. it's the perfect solution if you're in a budget but you want a comfortable accomodation. i gave 4 stars for the lack of power sockets.

This is one of the best hostels I have stayed at so far. It is not that big, and the staff makes an effort to make you feel welcome. Price-wise this place is a bargain, the kitchen has all the stuff a traveler would neet, and the supermarket and the subway are very close. The hostel is clean, the beds... More

I really enjoyed my stay here. This is a quality backpackers and the price and location is awesome. Very clean and comfortable. Rosa is a special lady that seems to understand everybody. I met a lot of decent folk there and shared many a laugh. Highly recommend this place.

Great hostel! Very cozy. Floor plan makes it easy to meet people but also gives you the opportunity to keep to yourself if you want. The owners are usually around and are great people. Friendly staff 24/7. This is the type of hostel that tends to attract really respectful people, who like myself, extend their bookings after a few nights.... More

This is a great hostel to stay in. Rosa greeted me and was great - even though I arrived at 11am she still checked me in. Also lots of information given about activities. Good security - you have to ring the door to get in, but they are open 24 hours which is great! There are two computers to use... More

I stayed here for a few nights in a group of 7. We had an 8 person dorm which was comfortable and secure. There are individual lockers which are large and easy to access and which work on a one euro deposit. The main downside of the room is that there was only one powerpoint which was located next to... I am not very fond of living in hostels but my stay here was really encouraging. Hostel is very clean. Staff is very friendly, supportive and available 24/7. Easily accesable and we found it centrally located. All tourist points are easy to acess. Hostel is safe and your belongings are secured here. Better you use the lockers they offer free... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
