Novotel - you know what you get and you cannot go wrong. Worldwide the same and that's more than ok. The hotel is well placed at Avenida Diagonal, close to the Sagrada Familia and next to Torre Agbar. A short ride with a taxi brings you to the Ramblas.

Let me start with the cherry on the top and with the fact that only because of the unprofessionalism of the receptionist I paid 25 EUR more, because of the exchange rate. This is after she asked me : would you like to pay in EUR or USD. I said EUR and she picked USD. Well that is nice... I... More

Novotel concept is good, but not when in a big complex. Wait for lifts. Busy breakfast. Moreover this one is located in a new district. But only 4 station from Ramblas. Nice roof pool, but a bit cold. Check in was efficient. Room is as expected. But can't open the windows much. If you need to attend a show a... More

We stayed at this hotel as a family, on a short break of four days. The hotel is located on Avenue Diagonal right next door to the Torre Agbar building. The hotel is very clean and all communal areas are kept spotless. Our family room (1621) was quite spacious, with a nice bathroom, and all 'mod cons'. Good views of Barcelona... More

Family trip to Barcelona. The hotel and location was great. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Most days we walked to La Rambla which was taking us about 25mims. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

Positives: It is a nice room, on a high floor with views of the sea, it has a nesspreso coffee maker, a safe and two television sets, one in the bedroom and one in the sitting area. Breakfast variety was good. Negatives: It is difficult to access the small wc in the sitting room and I am slim. One had... More

Novotel Barcelona is truly a heavenly experience. The staff are friendly, the location is good, the rooms are hygienic and spacious. I would truly recommend this hotel. The only downer is that the food is expensive but all hotel food is expensive. I wish they had a free breakfast service.

The "Superior Suite" gives a whole new meaning to the words "superior" and "suite" - especially considering the extra price from normal room (two adults and two children) to Superior Suite. Simply to small. Cleaning of the rooms insufficient (ie. forgot used coffecups). Access card (for door and elevator) did not work - we had to get new cards or... More

Very nice modern hotel, clean. We stayed there for two nights. Buffet breakfast was good, great coffee. Rooms are large, very nice shower cabins. 30 minutes drive from the Barcelona International Airport. I would recommend this hotel!

Staying in Poblenou

Neighborhood Profile
Poblenou
The futuristic Agbar Tower stands out from Barcelona's skyline in Poblenou. It is no coincidence then that this area of town is the newly crowned technological park of the city, its own mini Silicon Valley containing a tech incubator (Barcelona Activa) as well as a host of local and international high tech companies. To accommodate the onrush of new residents and workers, the area of Poblenou has seen a surge of activity in new high-rise residential buildings and two top-notch shopping centers catering to everyone's need. The ambiance of this area is calmer than the city center and the beautifully relaxing Bogatell Beach, popular with locals, is just a handful of blocks away.
