As I have state it is a pension so dont expect to have a 5* in Barcelona center for 30€ a night. It is a good place to stay one night or two, in my case I had a conection flight next day and some friends to visit in Barcelona so it was spot on. You can take the direct... More

me and my girlfriend stayed here in august for a night while on-route up to lloret. firstly we booked it because it was one of the cheapest we could find and near the placa cataluna for the train. The taxi from the airport was 21 euros and took about 15 minutes, the hotels a stones throw from the ramblas so... More

DO NOT BOOK THIS PENSION. It is in a very shaddy area of Barcelona (I had my mobile stolen). There is grafitti all over the entrance which is an exntrance to an apartment block - this is very poor accommodation. I would not have felt safe going out here! I had to pay for the room though for one night... More

The location (at the very beginning of the Ramblas) is truly perfect, also taking into account the close proximity to bus stop (where all the bus from airport stops) and subway station. Essentially, you can walk or go everywhere from there. As per the hotel, rooms are kind of "old style" and essentials. Compared to other locations in the same... More

It's in the third floor, without an elevator and a pretty steep step. We had a room with an integrated bathroom and it was ok, nothing special, but it seemed to be clean. The only thing which was really annoying was that we had a room which was going to the atrium there it was really ugly, because every time... More

We had to climb 4 floors with our luggage. The rooms were not very clean and the furniture were very old. The free wifi does not work in all rooms. The Staff speaks English and the location is good.

Sixty one steps up to reception. Then twice more with suitcases and again with hand luggage.... not a great experience at 3pm on a hot afternoon. THERE IS NO LIFT !!. Ok, it was clean, cheap and very convenient for Las Ramblas and Catalunya Sq and only one mile to the port entrance (it was pre cruise for us) but... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
