My husband and I stayed at the Residencia Salesiana Marti-Codolar during October 2014. It was an enjoyable stay. The rooms were decent - very basic with flimsy beds. The gardens on the property are really beautiful. The hotel is a good distance away from the city center and all the touristy spots.

It is a budget hotel, don`t expect too much, but at least you have en suite bathroom and breakfast for the same money compering with other hotels. The hotel is situated in the outskirt of the city,20 minutes from the Pl.Catalunya by underground. The underground station is 5 minutes from the hotel. The hotel is quiet. It has a beautiful rustic garden. It looks like an... You can reach the city center in 20 min if you take the metro (metro station is about 5 min walk) Food is average. The only desert is fruit or yogurt. The only super market I could find nearby was a very tiny one with very poor choice. You better go to Super Mercado in city center!

We stayed at the Residencia Salesiana Marti-Codolar for 2 nights. It's really a very quiet place to stay and we found it one of a kind. The gardens are really nice to relax in after a busy day on the Barcelona streets. The inner place looks like 16th century gimnasium. Rooms are not super clean but also not dirty. All you... More

We stayed at the Residencia Salesiana Marti-Codolar for 2 nights. When arriving by metro go up the stairs and take exit Parc Val d' Hebron. There is a blue wheelchair sign next to the exit. When you take this exit you need to cross the street and walk down. Once you reach the matches statues go right and then the... More

I booked a night in high season period for € 36,00 breakfast included so what could I ask more? In my room no air conditioning but, in any case, it wasn’t necessary. This residencia is inside a big park on the hill, not so far from the hospital Val d’Hebron, where you can enjoy a lower temperature even in summer.... More

The hotel is more in the outskirts of Barcelona, which is great as you get to see real Catalonian neighbourhood when walking approx. 10mins south-east to the closest shopping rambla (fresh fruit shops, Catalonian bars with really helpful and nice Catalonians :) Metro Montbau is 5-10 mins walk opposite direction. The hotel itself is absolutely amazing. Morning coffee in the... More

If are not prejudiced against praying nuns /you can meet them in the garden or on other floors/ it´s really good way how to sleep in a clean, cheap and calm accomodation. Furniture in the rooms is new and clean. You cannot expect design furniture but everything what you need you get and it´s really new, clean and functional. We... More

This hotel is something like 10 minutes (walk) from metro station. Train will take you to the downtown of the city and it will takes prox. 15 minutes. Rooms are small but clean. As we were informed there are only twin beds in hotel, so forget about romantic nights ;-) Breakfast is very simple but in unique old building. And... More
