Midern hotel next to the catedral, clean and nice rooms. Expensive breakfest so I prefer to go the a nearby cafe/panderia and buy a coffee and croissant for 2 eur! You can walk to the hotel from the airport bus so ifyou travelling on a low budget dont waste your money on a taxi! Pool is very small and only... More

Just returned from a 3 day break in Barcelona and stayed with my daughter at the Catalonia Catedral. We arrived quite early and our room wasn't ready but the reception staff took all our bags and kept them securely until we returned later. We booked a superior room with terrace and private pool. It was amazing. Huge bed really comfortable.... More

From the outside this Hotel looks old and worldly, however the inside has been completely renewed in a contemporary fashion and is very clean and modern. The rooms are a little on the small side, but very comfortable and quite. Angel and Gerard are excellent at reception and very very helpful. Breakfast is excellent. The location is perfect. Would definitely... More

Located in the heart of Barcelona's Gotic area, my wife and I want to recommend this wonderful hotel. The staff is Five star plus and the room, shower and bed were great. The staff helped us get around Barcelona and recommended non tourist places to eat. They went above and beyond our expectations for service. Thank you so much for... More

I stayed in the Catalonia Catedral hotel for one night on a business trip in May. This hotel is in the best location, only a few minutes walk from La Ramblas and car parks close by if you need to drive. The best thing about this hotel was the quiet room. I didnt hear anything all night so slept really... More

We had a 2 night break in a suite, the room was fantastic. Huge, modern, comfortable, quiet. The list could go on and on. We loved chilling by the pool. Breakfast was good but evening meal was average - the only downside of my whole experience at this hotel. Staff great too.

Stayed for four nights at the end of April into May. As it was for a birthday celebration we had booked a room with a terrace. The room was excellent and being at the back was very peaceful. The room was spotless, the bathroom large and the shower very good. All the public areas in the hotel are well presented.... More

Stayed here with my son in April 2015. The hotel is in an excellent position just around the corner from The Cathedral. The twin room was clean and spacious...big bath and a great shower. Breakfasts were really good. Fresh cold buffet and hot food. The staff at reception were so helpful especially Alex. He booked taxis for us and a... More

This hotel has smallish rooms that were adequate and clean. A pool was located on the top floor. It was located in the pedestrian area near the cathedral. Very close to many restaurants and shopping area. The hotel staff were very helpful.

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
