This hotel is the same hotel as "Barcelona Hotel Colonial" which of some reason has a different profile here on Tripadvisor. Read mine and a lot more reviews there! My conclusion there was that this hotel all in all is a recommendable place to stay if you get the right rate!

Admitedly well located in the Old City between Barcelonita Beach and La Ramba shopping area, this hotel is NOT for the any traveller who requires even the most basic levels of service or courtesy. Staff are unfriendly, even plain rude to levels not yet experienced during any of my travels. The breakfast was tasteless and boring but what more can... More

After a long search for where to stay in the most beautiful moments of our life, we arrived at the hotel. Everything was perfect! Beautiful and peacefull room, spotlessly clean, lovely bar and lobby and a fantastic breakfast that keeps for hours... The staff was very very kind and discreet, but especially the girls who looked after us at the... More

The rooms are nice and clean- look same as hotels photos. we got an excellent service at the desk and we enjoined the room. BUT 2 thing was not good: 1. The bad mattress was disaster, you can fell the spring in your back. 2. breakfast was same each day without any vegetables at all.

We stayed for 2 nights and were happy with the service, breakfast and room facility. Would recommend rooms on higher floors than the one on the ground floor, quote gloomy. Location is great. The place is clean and neat.

Went there on a Jet2 holiday. Smart and efficient, large room with big shower cubicle in a nice bathroom. Probably a bit short on storage space but all the usual stuff. Buffet breakfast was adequate but not outstanding. Free wi-fi. 2 euros a day to use your safe. Local tax payable up front in cash. Positioned a couple of hundred... More

The Colonial Hotel in Barcelona was very nice and very reasonably priced. It was close to the metro station Juame I and the waterfront which made it very easy to get to all of the sites. The rooms were modern and clean, and the bathroom was particularly large and well-decorated. Breakfast was decent but nothing spectacular although I am not... More

This hotel was booked for us as part of the tour. We had beautiful modern room, with huge window, very close to many places (beach, Ramblas, etc...), friendly and helpful front desk staff. Would stay here again and definitely recommend!

The Hotel Colonial is a mid-size hotel near the Gothic Quarter, close to many good eateries and attractions. Inside it is well styled, modern, clean and in good condition. Our room had a balcony with decent views and everything worked well. The room was quite narrow though and thus didn't feel overly spacious. The bathroom was also nicely done and... More
