This hotel is very well located for Barcelonetta, La Rambla and the Barri Gothic. We stayed for 3 nights and found the staff helpful and the rooms clean and well appointed. The breakfast was as expected a mixture of continental and some hot food and was OK. There is a hairdryer in the bathroom and the hotel charge 2 Euros... More

We had a hiccup in our trip and the concierge was extremely helpful. He printed out our boarding passes and made sure we had everything we needed. We were very thankful for his help and his sincerity.

On our last visit to Barcelona we stayed on the La Ramblas which was very busy but interesting. This time agent booked us a little farther afield but still in walking distance to La Ramblas. Having said that it was a refreshing change. We explored areas we would never had ventured into and were pleasantly surprised. The backstreets were full... More

The hotel is in a good central location within walking distance of many resteraunts shops and Las Ramblas. Reception staff are friendly and helpful and speak English. There is a good buffet breakfast. The rooms are adequate with a large ex suite facility but the view from the room was a brick wall. Rooms are cleaned daily.

Great hotel. Location was spot on with just a short walk (5 mins) to Las Ramblas and equally a short walk (10 mins) to the beach. Rooms were very nice - to the standard of a UK 4 star hotel. Our room was on the 5th floor with a street view - the street is noisy but it didn't bother... More

Just recently stayed at this hotel and really enjoyed our stay. Room was on the 6th floor and we had a large balcony which my husband decorated for my birthday. Fantastic shower or should I say choice of two showers with pebbled floor which made it look like walking on the beach. The hotel has a small bar but only... More

Thanks to our travel agent for directing us to this good Hotel. Pleasant and helpful staff, clean too. The room was are reasonable size considering being in Europe , the shower was as amazing, with both rain and normal hand held shower heads, pebbled floor. All the amenities were excellent but the mini bar was empty, Why??? Also it should... More

This hotel is the same hotel as Gargallo Hotel Colonial which of some reason has a separate "profile" here on Tripadvisor. We stayed here for five nights in July 2014 in of the basic double rooms. We chose the hotel as we seemed to get a very good price. We paid around 123 euro each night, and for that price... More

We stayed as part of our arrangements through the travel agent, three nights. Nice hotel, close to beach, La Rambla and Catalunya Square (all walking distance). As others have noted, you can hear the metro (sounds like thunder) one the first floor. They were shooting a movie outside so we also had that excitement. All in all a great way... More

We stayed here 2 nights prior to our cruise. The hotel was updated and affordable. Right in the middle of the Gothic Quarter section of Barcelona and right on the Hop On-Hop Off bus route. Walkable to the pier and all the restaurants and shops. Free Wi-Fi as well. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Our room faced the main street... More
