Pluses: Clean, tidy, friendly staff. Basic, but have all you need. A little far from main tourist attractions, but within a walking distance from a very nice bar at the beach and Sagrada Familia. Huge minus: couldn't open the window and the ac was not good enough. We lacked oxygen.

I was very happy with the night i spent at this ibis hotel, it proved to be very good value for its price. The hotel is very well located, about 2 minutes walk from theGlories metro station, the bus and tram lines, in a newly constructed and very ,odern part of Barcelona. It is surrounded mostly by office buildings, a... More

The whole trip started bad for us: our flight company made a strike, so we were able to stay in the airport for long 14 hours. After we landed in Barcelona we called immediately a hotel to inform them we are on the way and the late coming was not our fault. We also had a 6-years old kid, who... More

Just arrived back from a two night stay at this hotel. The room was clean and well maintained with no problems whatsoever. The staff where all extremely helpful and made our stay enjoyable. It's a bit far out from the main tourist drag but if you don't mind paying for taxis or using public transport you could do much worse... More

The check-in was smooth and we were given two rooms together with a common entrance so that we got our own privacy. The staff was courteous and very helpful. Under their directions we walked to Sagrada Familia at night - a wonderful experience. Also, they directed us to Rambla de Pablomeo (?) where all kinds of local food was available.... More

We wanted something cheap but close to the City Center. From the hotel you can reach 2 subway stations in less than 10 minutes, the area is quiet, in 15-20 minutes walking you get to the beach. The rooms are sound proof and the beds are excellent. You don't get a room with a view but for a short trip... More

Staying in Poblenou

Neighborhood Profile
The futuristic Agbar Tower stands out from Barcelona's skyline in Poblenou. It is no coincidence then that this area of town is the newly crowned technological park of the city, its own mini Silicon Valley containing a tech incubator (Barcelona Activa) as well as a host of local and international high tech companies. To accommodate the onrush of new residents and workers, the area of Poblenou has seen a surge of activity in new high-rise residential buildings and two top-notch shopping centers catering to everyone's need. The ambiance of this area is calmer than the city center and the beautifully relaxing Bogatell Beach, popular with locals, is just a handful of blocks away.
