Stayed four nights at the Hesperia Ramblas and will stay there next time we visit Barcelona. A very comfortable hotel, friendly, welcoming staff on reception who will help you as much as they can. Excellent location - just a couple of minutes from the Ramblas and Liceu metro station. The Boqueria market is just behind the hotel. My only moan... More

This hotel was clean, neat, and in the midst of a beautiful city. But it is blah and overpriced. (Over 500 bucks for a night 483 plus tax) A night at a LaQuinta in the states for 100 bucks you get a better deal. The shower soap was the size of an American quarter. That said - the city of... More

My husband and I spent 5 days at the Hesperia Ramblas in early May. The front desk staff were very helpful and accommodating, and the room was very comfortable - typical smaller European size, but clean, cool and comfortable. Breakfast was OK, not outstanding but good value and a good way to start the day. The location is the thing... More

This is the second time we stayed at this property. This time we needed air conditioning but due to the early season there was none. This made for a very short and noisy night since we had to get cooler air flow through wide open windows. The staff provided a fan for the second night but this was insufficient to... More

Dear Customer, First of all, we appreciate your second stay in Hesperia Ramblas Hotel and your valuations. We are sorry if the temperature was not appropriate for your necessity. At that time of the year, our air conditioning system was not yet activated. The temperature recorded in the city during those period was well above our expectations. For this reason,... More

Service was excellent. Location of this hotel is behind the market of "La boqueria" so, you can walk 2 min and you are there. The room is very clean and very basic and it is expected for a 3 star hotel. Breakfast wasn't included. Are You visit to Barcelona, so this is a good location hotel to stay at. Famous... More

This is a great hotel for a short stay in Barcelona, we had booked a double room, and it was perfect for our needs. The room was small but spotlessly clean, good quality bed and linen and towels, great bathroom. It is easy to find just off La Ramblas near Liceu metro station. The room was quiet and had a... More

We chose this hotel because it was affordable but loved our stay for several other reasons. A short taxi ride from the Port of Barcelona, this hotel is right in the middle of the excitement of Las Ramblas. It's a short walk to the trains, the bus routes, shopping, restaurants and Barcelona's nightlife. The front desk staff were friendly, helpful... More

I would like to stay in this hotel again and again if I visit Barcelona. The room is so homely and the staff are very helpful. They ensured I got the right taxis, directions around town, tools and equipment for work work. They will give you great value for your money

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
